From the sixties to today.
It shows how shit music-on-TV is now compared to late seventies/early eighties.
Everyone knows music was invented in the late 80s.
it's the fact that music on TV is crap - Pop Idol: Fuck OFF, bring back Tony Wilson
was going to watch it as the other 'history of..' were pretty good. but they are a little to intelectual for me on a saturday night so i record it.
the other story of light entertainment. escpecially the one talking about radio presenters shifting to tv and vice versa in recent times.
it made me want to watch lots of Kenny Everett again, they used to repeat his programmes when i was knee-high to a grasshopper and he's much funnier than i remember.
Opportunity Knocks: FUCK OFF
its all about money. i doubt anyone really watched the tube when it was on, and now TV wants to make pop family entertainment (especially ITV) that the whole family will watch, and not interesting "edgy" tv. And the word was early 90's too.
And, do we really want our favourite bands cavorting around on TV? Fuck it, lets not even bother with videos.
if done properly, are a fantastic medium.
