are amazing! i totally missed the news of this gig, and now i'm totally going to be there. this is totally brilliant.
but it's far too much effort fitting it around work. *sadface*
simply because Bristol is listed on their myspace as BRISTOPIA
do you have 'bristol' as one of your options now in the areas?
but nowt came up.
are at the Academy 2 next Sunday for your listening pleasure.
Buy a copy of Venue.
I checked which bands you rated on your profile, I've seen plenty of them play in Bristol.
Bilge Pump played at the Junction about a month ago.
If you're not familiar with many local bands, I recommend Geisha, Hunting Lodge, Big Joan, 3hostwomexicansandatinofspanners, snakes on a plane (although I think they're being forced to change their name!), The Girl from Headquarters, Jeremy Smoking Jacket and Rose Kemp.
Plus catch touring bands when they're small at the Fleece (I saw mogwai and Arab Strap there in '98, trail of dead in '01), when they're sort of medium sized at the Anson Rooms (pavement in '97, mogwai in '99 and '01) and biggish at the academy (trail of dead in '02, mogwai in '03 and '06)

Cardiff can be FUN
Discovered Sparklehorse at the fleece and The Dears at the bierkeller
yeah, sometimes. Lightning Bolt played at the point in Cardiff Bay, and BSS are playing there in a couple of weeks. Other than that, most bands who are touring (and worth seeing) play Bristol as well as Cardiff.
cooper temple clause! when's that? i missed them last time they played bristol because of exams...

i think a welsh guy was telling me his life story at the time.
how are you getting there/back?
Although I don’t know what time the last train is. I might stay the night in Cardiff and come home in the morning.
I've got a mate who doesn't like drinking during the week, so he's gonna drive. There should be one space in the car. Anyone coming from Bristol and willing to chip in a couple of quid towards petrol/bridge toll PM me and I may be able to sort you out a lift.
that's not late enough is it?
come on public transport network, BE BETTER
that is just so early.
I am going to stay the night in Cardiff now which means more money. *sob*
