Severe delays on everything.
last time this happened...well, lets just hope its not that
i hoep its nothing bad - laddy meths just boarded a train
BAKERLOO, CENTRAL, CIRCLE, DISTRICT, EAST LONDON LINE, HAMMERSMITH & CITY, JUBILEE, METROPOLITAN, NORTHERN and PICCADILLY LINE: Severe delays are occurring due to faulty communication equipment.
time for a pint then i guess!
guess i'll be staying at work a bit longer then.
always make me recall Shaun of The Dead....
Rapscalion is stuck down in Victoria!
Hahaha! Dinner for one tonight then!
He'll be fine!
Doesn't that go from Victoria up to Turnpike Lane?
He's on the tube now - can't get hold of him!
I should head home though just in case he makes it back before me!
he'd have to get about three different buses.
oh shit, they're gonna be extra busy now aren't they.
nowhere in london takes more than three hours.
well, not much.
it's healthy and good for you. and you can point and laugh at the commuters stuck on the buses/in traffic jams as you go. GREAT times.
for the past 2 days instead of getting busses into town i have done the 50 minute walk. i was quite pleased with myself.
i'll walk to edgeware road, see just how fucked the hammersmith line is, and probably walk.
just need to google maps me up a route.
when they told us there was a track fire and they were on "code amber".
someone from work was just at edgeware road and they'd closed the station, told everyone to piss off, hmm.
don't use a map! do it the fun way. walk and see where you end up, and see how good your sense of direction is.
that way, it's not a long walk, it's an adventure! YEAH.
when i won't melt if i get lost :(
I hate this.
I'll have to get, like, eight buses.
full of 88 sweaty people, joy!
the words code amber made me think it was pretty serious...
if things get a bit hairy, merely pop into the nearest boozer, of which there are many in london town, and refresh your senses with an ice-cold glass of [insert beverage] before setting out again in earnest, having acquired directional advice from the resident punters.
there are SO many reasons to walk. regular booze stops is but one of them.
i have discovered i have a very good sense of direction.
i like this :o)
yessssssssssssssssss...... i have three hours to spare. all the time!!
i have just been told what apparently caused it; the chemical spill in the builders merchants shop next door which resulted in a big chunk of kilburn high road being closed off, and the tube being closed. there have been firemen and ambulence people wandering around all afternoon. and apparently the emergency services have the same response to a chemical spill regardless of its magnitude, ergo the whole of the tube has been fucked.
the chemical spill, by the way, was a little bit of acid spilled on the floor.
i can't believe this is true. can it really be?
something burning while i was on the tube so i'm more inclined to believe it was a fire.
I bet you all wish you live in south east london now, don't you?
HOORAY FOR OVERGROUND LOL.
HOORAY FOR WALKING HOME LOLZZ
i have to take the tube...otherwise i would be laughing along with guntrip.
factual piece of information.
the whole appearance of the word 'south' negates that statement. immediately.
i was as surprised as anyone.
But my tube journey from Bank to Tottenham court road at approximately 15 minutes after underpangs posted this was quite empty and efficient.
The board at Bank said 'Good Service' on all lines and everything seemed to running fine.
What a joke!
I got to edgeware road and it said servere delays on Circle/H&C, and everything else was fine. Which both seemed to be running as normal anyway.
Weird. Looks like someone at TFL over-reacted somewhat.
