they're operating off the old schedule and and no updates have been announced yet.
Thousands of railway workers are to strike later this month in a long-running pay dispute, their union said on Wednesday.
Members of the country's biggest rail union, the RMT, will walk out for 24 hours at noon on July 21 and again for two days from July 27, a spokesman said.
RMT General Secretary Bob Crow called for an improved offer from Network Rail, which operates the rail infrastructure.
"Network Rail has just agreed a one-year deal for over 15,000 infrastructure workers but is refusing to give 5,000 signallers the same," Crow said in a statement. "That does not make sense."
A national strike was suspended last month to give the union time to consider an improved offer from the company.
Network Rail said talks aimed at averting the strike broke down on Tuesday, despite its offer of a 2,500 pounds pay rise per worker.
"We have worked very hard to avert industrial action -- negotiating over many months, making numerous compromises and offering a deal," the company's Chief Executive John Armitt said in a statement.
"We urge the RMT to accept that we have offered the best deal we can and that this is the end of the line for negotiations."
Je pense. It's on the Truck website front page as well.
