Female fronted 6 piece need bass to complete line-up…
We need a committed musician willing to rehearse twice a week (in Stoke Newington). Will need to be fairly road worn and comfortable/used to a band taking up a fair amount of your time. We have our first single coming out in a few months (on Too Pure), ahead of an album to be recorded towards the end of the year (with Jim Sclavunos of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds) so we're going to be busy.
The equipment you use and your playing style and sound are really important. You'll need to be an experienced, confident player that understands great tone and what it means to hold down your end of the sonic soup. Please no beginners/widdlers/fiddlers/virtuoso soloists - we want solid, punchy, sometimes growly, minimalistic (less-is-more) low tones. We have a lot of instruments/layers in our music and there just isn't room for overly flamboyant or improvised playing.
Probably Fender P Bass/Ampeg/Ashdown or equivalent. No more than four strings, and 95% pick.
Please reply telling us about yourself - previous experience/bands, equipment etc. - past bands websites, links to youtube videos, photos of you in your Sunday best, whatever - the more stuff the better!
