We're called Halfbeak, currently looking for a drummer. Lyrics with wit (sometimes!), humour and heart along the lines of Neil Young/Tom Waits/Bob Dylan with a dreamy/melodic/noisy guitarist similar-ish to bands like Radiohead, Sonic Youth, Neu!, early Verve or My Bloody Valentine.

We're looking for a drummer who is very much into dynamics and thinking outside the box on occasion. Very much doing this for the music's sake rather than any (remote) potential fame and glory, having said that, would like to be doing this as a living for the rest of our lives. It just has to be in that order.
We are inner North London-based, very experienced/capable, friendly, decent, heaps of material to work with, part of a very nice community of very good friends in other bands, and looking to start with gigs soon.

hey how you doing, you sound cool. regarding beer ,influences, & time signature fetish, we are a male / female 2 piece, we dont really play by the rules, and we like to make noise in odd times sometimes too.

2 guitarists with original songs written looking for an experienced drummer, someone who can play odd time signatures too is a must, as well as their own gear and a car / van , were after someone cool who likes to do things differently.

Not sure whether you've found a band or if what I'm looking to do would be your thing!

33 year old guy. Sings. Plays guitar and bass. Writes songs. Looking for local(ish) people to start a new band. Specifically, I'd like to find a drummer and a guitarist. Vocals would be great but not essential (but I love harmonies and backing vocals in massive choruses so, y'know, it'd be ace if you could).

Bands I like? Gaslight Anthem. Hot Water Music. Iron Chic. Rival Schools. RVIVR. Off With Their Heads. Banner Pilot. Masked Intruder. Alkaline Trio. Rocket From The Crypt. The Swellers. The Wonder Years. Stuff like that. I like other stuff but I want to play stuff a little bit like this!
