East London drummer looking for like minded musicians
I have just finished with my latest band and I am looking for a new project. I have loads of gig band touring experince, I have played on a buch of recordings that I can send you over to listen to.
Im into Yeasayer,Deerhunter, Mercury Rev, Caribou,Jesus and the Mary Chain etc etc etc etc and there are loads of new band im always checking out.
Music wise I want to meet people who are doing someting a bit a different fast slow disco to pop im not so botherd just as long as its good.
I have a great drumkit and cymbals have an SPD-s sampling pad as well, i have played with clicks before but thats not top of my list. If your looking for a metronimic drumming machine thats just going to sit at the back and play beats that have already been written then im not what your looking for but equally I like input and don't mind being told what to play.
I want to make music for the right reasons and play gigs record and be with proactive musicans that have got contacts and are ready to get things moving forward.
If looks and image are important im on the wrong side of 25 but looker younger than my years and im also image conscience and care about my clothes.

I recently (today) put an ad up because I too want to get something new started. I'm currently in a band where I do everything and would actually like to team up with people that are willing to chip in. I am also the wrong side of 25 and have a baby face haha but in all seriousness I'd be happy to have a jam. Ideally I'd like to venture from disco and blend into hiphoppy drum &bass et al. I've also played in many a rock band and need a change.

We're called Halfbeak, currently looking for a drummer. Lyrics with wit (sometimes!), humour and heart along the lines of Neil Young/Bob Dylan with a dreamy/melodic/noisy guitarist similar-ish to bands like Radiohead, early Verve or My Bloody Valentine.

We're looking for a drummer who is very much into dynamics and thinking outside the box on occasion. Very much doing this for the music's sake rather than any (remote) potential fame and glory, having said that, would like to be doing this as a living for the rest of our lives. It just has to be in that order.
We are inner North London-based, very experienced/capable, friendly, decent, heaps of material to work with, part of a very nice community of very good friends in other bands, and looking to start with gigs soon.
