Must be able to, erm, play bass and also enjoy music that sounds like this:
I was looking forward to seeing him one day :(
His own band have just released a single, he's singing in a second band, is getting married and has a time-consuming new job so feels he's no longer got time to do it.
I totally understand his decision (although it's a shame) and now just wanna move someone else into place as seamlessly as possible...
Only the bassist though, eh?
He's a good guy and is good for the atmosphere of the band. It's just trying to make sure whoever we get in fits in with what we're doing...
That said whenever anyone's left in the past we've managed to replace 'em so I'm sure we'll manage.
Gutted to hear this...
Inform record company before announcing owt...
to be hearing that young Alex is leaving the fold... I know John and Jerry will be sad too when I break the news...
But I understand he wants to pursue his own stuff and commit to spending time with his fiance and we just need to deal with the situation as best we can.
Anyway, back to the "bassist" wanted bit, we're a friendly and easy-going group of people, enthusiastic about what we're doing and it's an enjoyable band to be in.
We're sort of in the vein of Nick Cave, The Fall and that kind of thing. Our three main tricks of our sleeve seem to be the short poppy song, the rhythmic repetitive looping song and the long narrative song (best example being "Sarah Vincent" on www.myspace.com/tradinginsults).
This review sums us up pretty well I think:
