Still prefer Wish You Were Here.
i only have wish you were here and the piper at the gates of dawn though.
don't really get why that one became the immensely popular one. Hmm.
I'm not a big fan of Have A Cigar or Welcome To The Machine, but the actual song Wish You Were Here is one of my favourite songs ever. And Shine On You Crazy Diamond is obviously worth the album price on its own.
that if you played The Wizard of OZ, while listening to Dark Side of the Moon - the film synchronizes with the music very well.
Never tried it though
I think you have to press play on the second roar of the MGM lion and then all sorts of spooky coincidences occur.
Some of them are slightly spurious to say the least.
but its hardly the best thing sinse sliced bread. Its just an above average collection of 'oohh that synched up' moments. strictly for when very high.
as the British one is sped up via PAL.
rubbish. it was all based on 'the sound of music'.
'wacky' drummers, eh.
spot on. dsotm is a better album, but those two tracks are so so so good!!!
but animals is their best work.
it's dramatic waters perfection. listening to the whole thing through very loudly is quite an experience. & some of the best guitar solos are to be found on this cd. extremely underrated. but extremely prophetic to the shit that waters released afterwards.
I think DSOTM is enjoyable but I always feel a bit dirty after I've had a good time listening to it.
dub side of the moon?
grockle. Can't be doing with Sydless Floyd.
to be painfully average. Wish You Were Here makes me want to gnaw my own face off.
Syd Barrett was the group's true visionary and they never did record anything particularly inspired in the many years since he left.
but when Rog did all of it live it was really good. It was the first time I actually really enjoyed the Great Gig In The Sky lady bit.
this morning (yesterday morning)? Anyway OMG. It's good.
always used to be my favourite. Fuck knows why.
it's lovely and dark :)
The vocals are much better on Dark Side of The Moon and that's what seperates the 2 for me
I agree with your dad too
if it ain't Syd, it ain't good...unless you are a prog fan, which I'm not...yet
