Applicants video now on YouTube :D
(featuring one second of me jumping up and down in a phone box)
"She doesn't give a crappucino!!"
(Guess the show)
Did anyone watch it? I am saddened by the total lack of response.
But you didn't guess.
Now I'M saddened.
Your video sounds like it was recorded for Dick 'n' Dom/SMTV Live or summit.
It would get the kids bouncing after their morning Coco Pops...
This is a good good thing indeed. The little guitar people in the corner give it that tv show feel innit.
Does anyone know how you get a video on MTV?
just turn it on. they play you videos pretty much all day.
14.5st / yes / 17"
with DiS's hatred for a band as untalented, dull and predictable as Towers Of London you'd have been hung for signing these.
more Napoleon IIIrd Youtube goodness please
Up your ass, sunshine.
The music is good. Catchy guitars, I like the variation at the beginning and end, but, the humour and lyrics are awful. Shame.
I honestly couldn't see merit in it at all.
I'm sorry to say that 'cos I realise from these boards how passionate you are about music, John, and it seems harsh to be too critical about something that you've obviously invested time and money in.
I also try and give everything a chance and it's pretty rare I think anything is genuinely *that* bad but I honestly couldn't find anything positive to say it - I didn't even found it remotely interesting. I thought that in it's own way it was as dull, uninspired and predictable as even the most unimaginative of mainstream indie acts.
Once again, I am honestly sorry. You asked for a response and this is the most honest one I can give. If I heard it on the radio or MTV I'd go out my way to say on the boards how much of a travesty it was something that bad got played when there was so mcuh better stuff out there that gets over-looked and I'd be a hypocrite to post anything different in response to this thread.
You don't have to apologise as if you just kidnapped my firstborn or something. It's a song, some people give it woo! / 10 and some poeple write a short essay on it's shortcomings.
All fine. Devisive is very fine by me.
Oh yeah and bear in mind, ToL comparer, I like the Towers of London loads. Because I'm all for completely tongue in cheek cartoon throwaway entertainment music, if it's done right.
scale headed for priory use?
i should write cryptical crosswords.
If we're rating the video, 7.573736/10
Gained an extra 2 points for John jumping up and down! Minus 1 point for incorrect spelling of Frappuccino. Was this deliberate?
y'think it might have been?
8.2 gets rounded up to 9 by my system.
Go on then! :D
now i understand why you hate everything good!
One that has no substance or importance; a nonentity: “A nothing is a dreadful thing to hold onto (Edna O'Brien)
I quite like you.
I love you jb..x
i quite liked it by the way
but missed your apprearance? cant watch it again now
It was fun walking around soho hammered and seeing the reactions fidel got in his cowboy hat and pants.

really i do. maybe
"gosh, two peopLe gave us 0 points, i'm now going to run off to france Like steven fry without teLLing my agent."
SEE WHAT YOU'VE DONE?
What's the concensus?
YES or NO to Crappuccino?
I think the video is great fun but I'm not a big fan of the song and I do like some of Applicants songs. I think it's just the 'c-c-crappucino' bit that irritates me.
In conclusion, maybe.
saying that, I have been singing 'C-c-crappucino' to myself since I got into work, so maybe I do like it.
i liked it.
good fun and that.
It reminds me of the video for "Been Caught Stealing" by Janes Addiction...err, I'm not sure why!...probably the camera angles and colour and stuff.
I actually think the video makes me like the song more than I would've on just hearing it.
Dont like the song or the video...but yes jb!
although there isn't one educational message that has been provided to me by this video.
I have caught Bobbygeorge's affliction and have started singing "C-C-Crapucino" at really awkrard times.
Uhhhhhm. Is that styandard criteria for music videos? Darn. This'll never get shown on the Open University channel now.
Their next video should include a funky run through the perodic table and the perils of Class A drugs.
"This is Helium, it's wack, let's move to something exciting, like Crack!"
What are you on about though?
There was nothing like going on in 1996... drum machine led pop 'n' roll wasn't even a thing.
It was sugar.
They are nice people. I just had breakfast with Fidel (singer) and we decided to invent a new genre called Fuulk. Which is a cross between funk and folk.
play that fuulky muuuuusic brainlove!
