she needed telling.
no, that was good.
the comment I mean, not the music...
and she likes the kooks, corinne bailey rae and other mor shit bands. fucking hell, people have shit taste.
SOMEONE LIKES A FEW BANDS YOU DON'T.
She's 14, and I used the word cunt.
I'm deleting it.
I don't wanna get banned.
I just accepted your request so I could express absolute astonishment that anyone sound of mind would not only befriend that pathetic wet blanket whining cunt James Blunt, but then advertise the fact by putting him in their top friends. Before blocking you again.
MY GOD GIRL!
I MEAN, REALLY
Be honest with them at an early age!
(I am glad you have noted that she is 14 - I mean, how could you not have noted that???!!!)
I am cacking myself - even funnier that you are now trying to delete it!
See John's post up there.
but I've just spent the evening at an open mic night listening to shite singer-songwriters who appear to be pursuing their lifelong dream of sounding like every other motherfucking singer-songwriter on the planet which has left me wanting to bludgeon myself unconscious, partly to relieve myself from the pain and partly to ensure I don't wind up harming them instead.
So I'm inclined to applaud you. Even if she is 14.
the anticipation grows.
but not your comment on James Blunt...
It seems silly and vaguely cruel to accept a friend add just to do that. Even if she was 21 or something, amusing though the comment was, I don't really see the need for it...
to systematically attempt to mock and shame every one of James Blunt's fans starting with the youngest? That could take a really long time.
Its a really funny plan isn't it?
For her age, she's writing and recording her music, and that in itself is admirable.
Good luck to the lass.
...and had the deceny not to record them and broadcast them to the world. I feel that, with most 14 year old song-writers, that's the far more admirable route.
I didn't listen to the music but she had a song called "middle class cliche" which is probably the most teenage song title in the history of the world ever.
myspace music wasn't an option. Perhaps she just wants feedback?
I was being a bit glib there. Maybe she does want feedback and obviously it's good to encourage people to make and record music.
I'm being really horrible 'cos I've not listened to her or anything. I'm just so bored with competent but unimaginative acoustic singer-songwriters (which she of course may not be) and want to vent my frustration.
I promise to shut up and behave myself from now on.
shes taken james blunt out of her top friends....
It's the age where you get really pretentious and want to tell the entire world why they're going wrong by writing worthy 'social consciousness' songs without realising how little you yourself know about the world. Which is actually admirably idealistic but the songs never quite work.
In a way this is the brilliance and problem with Myspace. It is great she can get her songs up there and get feedback but people often need time to develop their talent and find their direction.
In a way I think there's a risk in exposing yourself to an audience that soon (especially 'cos you'll find cruel bastards like me taking the piss and that can undermine your confidence!) because maybe it means people start to judge you and tell you which direction to go in when you need to find that out for yourself. Feedback can be problematic in this sense 'cos people have their own agendas and ideas of what they want to see you do.
Which was retracted when I realised she was 14.
And I think I clearly have much more of an issue with Blunt than you. Huge issues. A wide range of wideranging far-reaching issues with him, his music, and everything he represents. He's a fucking airhead aristocrat posing as some everyman John Lennon figure.
Not going to go into it again as it's all been pretty much said already.
But I disagree that it's harmless.
There isn't any point in going into the James Blunt argument again but I disagree that people slag him off just 'cos he's a soft target.
I love music and it's hugely important to me - like msot others who post on here. And there are singer-songwriters who write songs with intelligence, passion, humour, originality and entertainment but struggle to finance what they're doing. So when extortionate amounts of money are spent on someone who to me exhibits none of these traits, it genuinely angers me.
And maybe it is harmless and I over-react to it but I feel the best music is a powerful, life-affirming, even life-changing force but radio stations instead feed people pleasant, inoffensive background music that seems to be designed not to upset them or challenge challenge them in anyway.
It's like if your a chef and you see people eating ready meals or fast food all the time. To criticise it risks (possibly fair) accusations of being snobbish and elitist but, at the same time, it still feels really important to do so.
Seemed funny until I noticed she was 14.
Now I just bullied a child into not having Blunt in her top friends.
A hollow victory.
but a victory nonetheless.
It's sad for somebody of your age to bully a 14 yr old on myspace. It's really sad to come and brag about it on a message board.
A JOKE A JOKE A JOKE YOU IDIOT.
Now get out of my face.
What you've done is actually embarrassing.
Ask Crablin to delete the thread Brainlove, and we can forget it ever happened.
the child was holding a carrier back with a 'back to bedlam' logo on it. I mean, I think the response on the platform was pretty mixed, some people laughed and some people thought it was band out of order. The arresting officer thought it was pretty funny though, and the jury selection was excellent. Even the judge guffawed when the witnesses were giving their statements. So I got off scott free! Who would have thought it.
Now if you could convince my wife that Blunt is shit...
Maybe I should charge a fee for this service...
But i can't find the comment. What did you write? But she is totally shite though.
...but John repeated it earlier on this thread (about 8 messages from the top and entitled "For Referecne:"
read the thread.
you massive bastard!
