I have, over a month, gone from 'meh' to 'fuckmeIneedtohearthiseveryday'.
Hated it at first.
Definitely France second best album ever after Taxi Girl - seppuku
When I got it I thought file in the bin next to Coldplay. How wrong I was. It's a gorgeous piano led indie prog masterpiece full of hooks and pop tunes and melancholy and the like. It's bloody marvellous.
yeah, it's fucking great. A bit bored of it now though because I downloaded it about 8 months ago. Perfect music for the summer though.
Let me plug: tickets for the Barden's gig are selling pretty quick, think we might move it to a different venue though DUE TO UNPRECEDENTED PUBLIC DEMAND. Also, because we want to make it 14+. For the moment though, it's still beneath the furniture shop with the crackheads:
Favours For Sailors and Hands on Heads supporting.
Today's slow burning album of brilliance...
'Chutes Too Narrow' - The Shins. It has been burning for a couple of years now, but it's so good.
At first I thought it was just 70 minutes of noise without a tune in sight, but I slowly grew to love it and realised that it was the opposite of what I first thought.
oddly, apparently, interpol albums do this to me. really didnt like any of them but after being forced to listen to them im a wee bit of a fan now.
i didnt enjoy it straight away, but i kept at it and now i love it.
its turning into one of my fave albums.
had it for 3 years and only just beginning to love it!
From meh to amazing in six months.
islands and why?
There just seems to be something that doesn't strike at first.
I got between those opposites in a 43 seconds but YEAH! Another fan!
