ive heard nite versions is really good? opinions
Or Any Minute Now. Much Against Everyone's Advice has some good stuff on it too, though
you know it's all remixes right? Still worth getting though.
its just i heard they were better than the original songs.
i'm guessing all the new Radio Soulwax CDs are bootlegs in themselves? i saw a few dzen of them in a record shop today and they hardly look legit, especially considering some of the samples they've used...
(get As Heard On Radio Soulwax vol. 2 by the way...)
I found all ten in Rounder Records in Brighton a few weeks back on Great Escape weekend. I almost wet myself
And they had 50,000,000 Soulwax fans can't be wrong, and all five of the other mix series too
They WILL be mine. In good time
what's up with all he Hang The DJ cds as well? And the ones with pictures of Sid Vicious on the back that make them look like Gigolo releases? Weiiirrrd.
i once saw all the As Heard On Radio Soulwax cds...all ten of them i think...in HMV for forty quid each :S
none of them are particularly worth your time.buy an Enon album instead. like soulwax, but better.
then. i like the sound of em.
The soulwax 2 many dj's albums are kind of brilliant too. But I haven't dusted it off for over a year now. the novelty does wear off.
but for a party album, there is none better.
i got sick of the transitions in the end.
high society is ace though
a bit like alligator in the way that is takes a few listens before it clicks into place.
...is that they've moved on from the bootleg stuff for the most part. Perhaps if they were still doing that people would be getting bored now, but I saw two of their DJs sets a few years apart and they couldn't have been more different.
I'm a bit of a fan.
But I'd say get them in this order: Any Minute Now, Much Against Everyone's Advice, Leave The Story Untold. (The last one can be found on 101cd.com)
I was in one of their videos, as I mentioned in another thread. Top fun.
Forgot about Nite Versions. That's a bit good too although I'm one of the few who actually prefers the original album to the remix one...
