who do you reckon he would be into ?
into them before everyone else?
Burial is very new, so no, he wouldn't have been "into" them, but I see your point. It is a difficult thing because it wasn't so long ago that he died.
He was so far ahead of everybody that it usually took even the most discerning listener a while to catch up. He would clearly still have played, now if he was still alive, stuff he played a couple of years ago; Lightning Bolt, Gedge, the "London Sound" (ugh), and MES.
Has anyone heard his wife's 78 show? Very fun.
Please tell me where i can hear it. Please.
She's put a compilation out on Trikont recently, but i didn't know she was still playing the radio, like.
And my argument was mainly because i thought i remembered him playing Kode9 and Skream. Although i might have been thinking about Skreen from The Beatbox Saboteurs/Cuban Boys.
id kick JP's ass.
the fuck are you talking about?
especially live. i don't necessarily see the point on record.
Travis, Snow Patrol, Keane and Athlete.
Cutting edge, innovate bands like that.
Secondsmile or Campaign For RealTime
Peel would have been completely gay for his music.
Any old shit - like usual.
that we've not heard - demos from people in their bedroom, barmy foreign stuff, all sorts.
Will there be a "John Peel Day" this year - I somehow doubt it.
