It was rather good, and a bit different to most of the gigs I've been to.
Nice guy, too.
This is Your Captain Speaking, were also marvelous when i saw them at the colchester arts centre last week
and the audience was all sitting on the floor and then adem came down off the stage and played in the audience, it was lovely
This Is Your Captain Speaking didn't play in Cambridge. :(
Still, Adem was great, and it was nice to be seated for once.
He was thanking me for coming down and checking him out, and didn't seem arrogant in the slightest.
Who knows? Last night the backing band seemed fine, and they were all laughing and making jokes with each other and kept smiling. He also kept thanking them and complimenting on how amazing they've been on the tour.
I dunno, but anyway the music is nice and 'these are your friends' is great.
He did say that they had only been touring with each other for a month now, I'm not sure if he had a different backing band when you saw him.
I've always got the impression he's a really nice down to earth guy, he even played a couple of sets in the campsite at last years greenman.
I must've seen him 3/4 times now, none of which was he headlining though. Now i'm seeing him another two at Animal Collective and Greenman again.
recently and he seemed incredibly polite, down to earth and happy. pretty much just like his music, really.
if I'd known I'd have come!! I wa thinking about it, but thought I didnt have anyone to go with (this didn't stop me for regina spektor, but I dont know adem as much as I knew her) so i didnt. Shame!
I had a spare ticket for Adem in Cambridge for liek free, and I was going to offer you it. But one of my friends pounced on it pretty quickly. And it was short notice, I only found out I had won the competition on Wednesday.
I've entered the Regina Spektor competition on the Junctions website, hopefully I'll win again and get two on the guestlist.
oh the cambridge one? Oooh, I'll go and do that to!
I loved regina! And jeremy was also great, though I was very taken with his man -tom rogerson. Furious piano playing!
If I win mine you can have the spare ticket, I know no Regina Spektor fans anyway!
