Would anyone else agree its probably the weakest of the 'main three' for Barsuk? I'm talking about Transatlanticism, Photo Album and We Have the Facts.
I know the majority of DiS seems to think its their best album, but I really don't see it. I don't think there's enough contrast in the songs. There are three or four masterpieces in there, but in terms of fully enjoying a record when hearing it, I think Transatlanticism and We Have the Facts beat it hands down. They each swap over all the time, from the downbeat, low songs for two or three, to a pair of upbeat poppy tracks, and I think it works perfectly. With PA, it tends to maintain this same level throughout about 5 songs, until Styrofoam Plates.
Someone say I'm not alone.
