reopening for gigs! Yay!
Best gig you've seen there? Cat Power for me.
(apologies if this has already been mentioned).
Would have loved to have seen Low there though.
go see a band you like there when you get the chance....lovely, lovely venue.
don't put gigs on there anymore, something to do with the licencing laws. They stopped quite a while ago I think.
Only ever saw Cat Power there and she was wonderful.
but.. er.. as the original post in thread said, it's reopening Soon.
they are reopening their doors to gigs.
They had a roof problem and then a strict vicar who didn't approve of smoking and drinking in the chapel. A new lady vicar is in charge now and up for having music there again. huzzah! :)
reopening, hence the thread starter
They're having a bar but you can't take any drink into the pews with you.
but I did - twice! And both times were amazing.
I just wish I'd seen Sigur Ros there...
had tickets to see Sigur Ros and Mum there but they cancelled : (
It was good but I enjoyed their gig this year far more.
it was easyworld.
there's a blast from the past
Well, don't I feel like an idiot now.
It's happening to me all the time...
It was great...
*shakes fist really hard* at magpieboy.
saw rufus wainwright in the back room before want one came out, were about 100 people there and we were sat at a table with candles on it about a metre away from his piano.
also saw jesse malin in the main church which was fantastic, supporting by tommy stinson from replacements who was....ok.
for acoustic gigs until they sort soundproofing?
Saw Smog there in 2003, it was amazing
Might go to the Kathryn Williams gig there but it's ages away if I remember rightly
