therefore you are exempt. ha.
HE WAS JUST AN UNDERACHIEVER"
he's more devoted to the cause than i am.
hes got better at that now. he plays it sometimes. or he just mocks them; eg at the nottingham gig turning his mic towards him and playing 'my love for you is real'
As is the one below it.
Yeah its annoying when people do that and think they are really funny, but me and my mate did a big old funny once at the Highbury Garage at a Moldy Peaches gig when support band Longwave left their setlist and a marker pen on the stage prior to coming on. Cue us reaching over, adding Free Bird to the setlist, their manager going off, copying it four times, and putting it out again for each band member.
The singer's face when he said "hey thanks for listening guys this our last son-... errr ..."
"PLAY FREE BIRD!"
In that instance, it was funny. Well it made the band laugh.
is it common? ive never heard anyone do it apart from me.
cos im a comedy god.
avey tare smiled at me.
i got it from henry rollins talking about people taking the piss when he had long hair
of freebird and theirs a loud yell of it. maybe it's from that?
I can't remember who's song it was (oh wait, Lynnrd Skynnrd??) but it was their equivalent (times several thousand) of Creep for Radiohead.
Presumably they never played it at gigs and the audience used to yell for it over and over?
so surely their big hit was sweet home alabama?
I've not heard it.
shouted Freebird on the stage at a Tool concert. And look what happened!
It's better to shout SLAYERRRRR
is immense, there's a guitar break that lasta about six minutes. Mind you I prefer Cat Power's cover. the whole thing lasts about 30 seconds, classic!
