thank you Michael Diver for introducing me to this band. I saw them last night and they were wonderful. I've been listening to the album non-stop today. Yes, they're another one of 'those' Canadian bands with hundreds of people on stage, yes they sound a bit like Broken Social Scene and Stars (both of whom they've supported). But they also had a lot in common with Death Cab for Cutie (and, with the use of beats on the album, The Postal Service) and they have lovely lyrics and Emma has one of the nicest singing voices I've ever heard. And they were so together and ace and happy and friendly. And depressingly, appeared to be about 17.
So, go buy the album (Underwater Cinematographer) NOW and make sure you see them when they come back to Britain and love them and stuff. Yes.
