Who could it be?
we know crablin likes them, and they're definitely the sort of band that might play Truck
and they;ve been heavily rumoured for a while.
they are local Oxford boys, that would be rather special.
everyone knows it's Radiohead. Old news.
that would be special. That's my favourite suggestion so far
imagine the reaction if it was Panic! At The Disco headlining.
there was the thing about having to wait for leeds tickets for a certain day selling out; futureheads are playing leeds.
however, i am expecting metric to appear on the bill.
basically the DIS records stable.
it's the futureheads.
i'm organising a kick around while they're on.
who's joining me?
I'll be drunkenly singing along. It's good to get some OH-OH-OH's in.
if you let me sit on your shoulders for the entire set.
i'll even lift my shirt up and flash my chest at people.
As long as you hold the cider. And stuff.
We're gonna rule SOOO much.
whatever you do, don't turn round.
actually, this gives me an idea. i'm going to organise the inaugural truck piggy back-fighting championship.
broken arms ahoy!
trust. tis the only name leaked to me a few days ago that ain't onna list announced today...
...but does anyone know why so many people in other places are going "it's the Subways, y'know"?
I know it isn't because on the Brakes forum Tom White said it wasn't when someone asked him, but it keeps cropping up on various message boards.
are too mainstream
and anyway I thought we'd been through this it's feeder
...then surely the Futureheads are also too commercial? They are on similar levels IMO
have more "indie cred" tho, don't they?
...I would afford more respect to the Futureheads' songwriting and musical prowess, as the Subways just strike me as a uninspired blues band (like Jet but less angry). However they are both pretty mainstream nowadays; a notion I get from the amount of non indie type friends I have who are into them.
Futureheads are far from "special"
And I like fun.
I'll watch them with you, famous amos.
they are bounce around fun.
They're not the best band ever, let's be honest.
But neith are they the worst.
But when I've had a few ciders, and the sun is setting on a Saturday evening, and I'm with my mates, and I've had a laugh...don't give me challenging post rock soundscapes. Give me fun, happiness, and dancing people. Give me The Futureheads.
To be honest...all the better bands are playing Supersonic that weekend so don't get your hopes up.
Crablin and Diver do the hits
