I LIKE TRAINS
Are amazing. I agree with the others but not the TRAiNS. Come on, have you heard terra nova? How can that be called boring?
indie music is shit to go see live
it's not like there's any stage show or technical prowess
just a bunch of dudes standing around in jeans playing weak chords and talking into a microphone
how much I love it when people say I'm 'wright'.
I love you now. Even though you're a bit wrong up there ^^.
yeah, let's ALL GO SEE SOME METAL \m/
Is something wrong with me ?
Most boring :
I saw iliketrains, and too was bored by them...
iLiKETRAiNS are great live ! Going to see them on sunday.
I think my problem with them is that when I saw them, all their songs were slow in terms of bpm, but the drums et al was trying to be fast...didn't like the demo I picked up either...
Are they famous enough for me to flog that on the bay yet?
But yeah, Longview are tripe!
Dullest concert I have ever attended.
take that, metal.
of moby dick is the most boring piece of music i've ever heard.
Dance To the Radio EP promo thingy, and the I LIKE TRAINS song on that is just terrible. It doesn't go anywhere at all. He doesn't even sound like he's trying to sing.
Thats the beeching report. Admittedly not their best song but its still amazing. listen to the choir.
Mmmm , choral goodness
but he is responsible for some of the most boring music ever made.
it isn't proper post rock. true story.
but by mighty tootatis do i hate the singer's smug face.
well I heard them on the advert.
that was enough.
James Blunt! I listened to his album in the car. My Dad has it.
His voice is hilarious, the lyrics are awful and the music sounds like a casio keyboard demo button. I was quite entertained for a couple of songs.
Hobo exile hotel.
makes me want to kill all humans.
nu-soul, nu-jazz (jazz is laughing in your face) crap that late-twenties early-thirties WANKERS buy to play in the background of their dinner parties in their converted flats in gentrified areas of the city.
The stuff that sounds like the background music on Home Front.
it does. that tv advert for the bailey rae album actually makes me furious. there's a little snippet of singing that goes "giiirl, put yer records on, tell me your favourite song, girl go ahead let your hair dooowwnn". HATE.
it might as well go "why try at anything ever? the brand new heavies were the pinnacle of human endeavour". it'd be more honest.
i've given this too much of my time :D
MY LYRICS RHYME
FEEL MY DEVASTATING FLOW
Copyright them quickly before someone steals them!
and they play it in their chi-chi little cafes too, and their friends sit there all day drinking lattes and asking what the music is, and they tell them, "it's jamie cullum. he's the latest sensation."
those exact words.
and then akira the don strolls in and shoots them all in the face.
indie music! CRAP.
Help She Can't etc.
you talking about amyblue, how dare you call Cove boring, and Charlottefiled, they are both great, really interesting, THIS IS OUTRAGOUS, how can you say they are boring.... as for Help She Can't Swim, they are just ace. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
FUCKING ROCK TO FUCK!!!1
*it rocks. to fuck*
I was really looking forward to them but there was no stage presence, no charisma and all the songs (even "the Rat" which is obviously fantastic on record) merged into one.
Honestly I was truly, truly bored.
you're wrong !
I saw Athlete once in their "early days" and I have literally never wanted to be sick so much in my life - even through instances of excessive drinking, over-eating and assorted medical reasons.
Simply the most dull, one dimensional tosh I have ever heard in my life. They actually made a post Little Kix Mansun sound interesting.
They were supporting Mansun. That wasn't just random Mansun abuse.
that was just random abuse.
from looking at your ratings, I reckon you'll like Mansun.
Mansun were dreadful, but Athlete, fortunately, were worse. And Rap-jo, try Six, it's an insane piece of albumry.
, just the Manchester date. It wasn't worth the travelling. They only played for about an hour :-(
pointless. the worst band i've ever seen live. and i've seen rooster.
band they were before - Jonathan FireEater were one of the most exciting bands I ever saw. Three or four times, in fact.
...so I could have seen' em on an off day.
But they were still bloody dull.
Mobwai are terrible.
Mogwai on the other hand are probably the best live band in the history of the year 2001.
why has he been allowed to become so popular.
I agree, radiohead are shi...
What! Radiohead ! What! What is wrong with you? And mogwai? Jesus
I hope this is some sort of ironic/indie joke thing.
get into either sorry :(
I find radiohead incredibly tedious. I'd rather pull my own teeth out that listen to them.
You're all cloth eared!
in Newcastle a week or so ago. Your opinion of them may have changed after that.
Hes called KID A.
But Mogwai were ace a long time ago !!!
Have you even HEARD:
In The Jungle?
Fuck the World?
but the first album didn't really impress me.
Better stuff out there, methinks.
alongside the immense hype, the fact they're pretty listener-friendly puts a lot of the people on DiS off.
A lot of people just don't like them, but I don't understand the amount of shit they get from people who appreciate both Nirvana and the Beatles - two bands they aren't a million miles away from.
I think he's one of the best songwriters around.
I mean they're not terrible in any way (and "Get Free" is a great song) but I just think lots of other bands are better.
have put me off a bit with the new album. Highly Evolved is a really good album, which took over my stereo for a few months and Winning Days is actually probably just as good, but the new 'un seems just a bit half-arsed. I've given it a few listens, but it's not winning me over. To my ears, there's been a discernible dip in quality.
I watched a live performance of Get Free on WinAmp for some AOL TV thing it was both awful and awesome at the same time. Mainly it was great I think.
it has some good songs, 'autumn shade' was a lovely shoegazery thing. his face is annoying though.
I thought he was joking!!
How the hell can you have seen Mogwai or Radiohead live and not thought they were great - let alone thought they were the most boring live bands!
In my opinion!
I've never seen 'em live though. But, if memory serves, I find their music more than a little dull.
I've also never been a huge Radiohead fan either (I've also never seen them live incidentally). I do rate "OK Computer" and "The Bends" (hell, I even think "Pablo Honey" is better than most give credit for - esp. "Thinking About You") but I don't love Radiohead in the way that I love, say, Belle & Sebastian or Hefner or whoever.
I'm not sure why. I just haven't ever connected with their music on an emotional level. I think it's good but it just doesn't move me.
you're just as stupid as the rest of us.
how easily inpressed are the general english public?
Just...oh god why?
I fell asleep when I went to see them a couple of weeks ago. Bored the shit out of me.
Fell asleep? Come ON...
