are they on sale or is it just weekend ones? anyone knoooow?
£60 they can take a running jump.
shit. i remember the glory days of £35. and thats only about 3 or 4 years ago. the cunts. until there's more than just pearl jam i want to see i guess i 'll wait, and probably end up missing out.
Pearl Jam sunday is the best day!!!
Placebo, my chemical romance, and THE KOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...then Placebo and The Kooks will be on at the same time.
that adds up to 180 quid. why is it more expensive than wekkend camping, maes no sense
with booking fees 3 day tickets would add up to £210.
i'm tempted to get them with the semi-mental excuse that i could sell them on ebay...but finding it hard to justify that to myself cos i know i'd just keep them...but then pearl jam were one of the first rock bands i ever got into and i've been listening to them since i was 11 and never seen them. life is shit when you're a poor student without upper middle class parents funding your cunting sudoki playing face.
the fact that reading are charging £60 is the fault of the 'upper middle class'.
go bum traynor.
i apologise. just fucked off for being made to feel like a cunt for being able to afford things.
afford stuff anyway. Not when you taxed shitloads.
Plus, not everyone has parents that pay everything for them.
Reading prices are extortionate though. That day ticket thing is shit.
...I've got medical problems which - whilst I don't want to go into - make staying in a tent for three days pretty problematic.
I used to compensate for my inability to go to weekend festivals (or indeed at all to Glastonbury which only sells weekend tickets, of course) by going to Reading for the day.
But this year and last I've not gone 'cos the tickets are just too much to be worthwhile.
I think this year I'm going to Wireless for the day. It probably won't be the same for atmosphere but it does have Belle & Sebatian (who I love), the Super Furry Animals (who I'm desperate to see), the Dirty Pretty Things, Googol Bordello (both of who I want to see), the Strokes and the Likes (both of whom I'm happy to watch) and some friends of mine in a band called Milk Kan all on the same stage and it's only £37.50 so it should be decent enough.
Is probably the best line I've ever heard on here.
Wireless: Flaming Lips, DJ Shadow and Massive Attack for £40 = Bargain!
I saw em supporting Forward Russia in November
£35 was good.
If you buy from the Astoria box office in person you can pay in cash and pay no booking fee.
give me love.
...were there? I could be wrong but I thought it was the first time there weren't any.
To rhyme with 'testical'?
Nice Freudian slip!
that the O2 Wireless festival actually looks more of an enticing proposition than going to a day at Reading.
I mean... nearly £12 for booking fees/p&p.
i think festivals might have hit the glass ceiling now... the only hope is that the likes of Truck and Summer Sundae remain the same.
70 quid isn't it? why waste your money.
i'm going to Truck, All Tomorrows PartysPartys, Dot to Dot and the Friday of Supersonic Festival for the same price as a Reading day ticket, so thats like nearly a weeks worth of festival going for the same price
