what the hell was the last song they played???!
it was FUCKING amazing.
the last song off ( )?
it was () 8.
the crowd were really annoying though last night.. loads of talkers, beer spillers etc etc. had two annoying little cunts next to me who kept going "ooh yeah, this is one of those songs that has the same lyrics as all the other songs on the untitled album!!"
the band was really really good. i had the pleasure of the dude behind me call one of his mates to 'give him a little blast', and then proceed with his drunken convsersation. awesome.
I was saying yesterday that every time they started the bars of a song the crowd would cheer like it was Stars in Your Eyes, like "Woooh! I recognise this - cheer". And also how they started cheering before songs had even finished. God the crowd made me angry!
ah, last song off () makes sense. i never get to the end of albums unless i listen to them on saturdays.
i'm weird. yay!
maybe Tuesdays bring out the moronic side in people.
I didn't like the stupid fucking marching band either
some reviews from the previous nights shows (not on here i hasten to add), saying that Sigur Ros had been boring.
The review writers can go walk themselves infront of a very large, moving truck.
They were stunning. Simply Stunning.
Ive been to many many gigs, but never experienced anything quite like that last song.
If you've never seen them live, put it on your list of things to do, most definately.
i've seen them twice, and both times have been well, yeah, stunning.
two hours zipped by!
and i had some irritating american pretty much moshing to sigur ros and jumping on my feet. when i moved, he did too. it did make me laugh though.
however, shameless advertising for the album at the end where it had 'Takk' on that massive screen...
means thank you.
it totally was boring in Manchestah.
The last song they played was really good though. And the support band were great.
sorry, but why do you go to gigs then?
I'm a little confused. The crowd going wild is one of those things that a live experience is about, surely?
crowd should shut up and applaud politely when they are sure the song is finished.
I go to gigs to hear the bands, not the crowd. Applauding and cheering when songs have finished is great, but when some of the subtleties of the band's live performance are lost under mindless drunking oral yobbery, I am afraid it spoils my enjoyment. As my girlfriend said "You wouldn't cheer the pauses when you go and see Pinter"
In actual fact I gave about a forty minute standing ovation after the encore, and leapt up so quickly I dropped water all over my groin.
I think when one is seated like I was at the Apollo and people think they are at the pub - keep getting up to get drinks and going to the toilet it is very annoying.
but you still did hear them. Admittedly you were upstairs and I was downstairs underneath the balcony but it was fine where I was. I don't actually even remember any particularly quiet bits.
You must have had all the weird fans up there, I reckon.
maybe balconies bring out the worst in people
i was stage right at the back, nearish the gents...
Me, my mate Simon and -claire-
someone who doesn't tend to drink at gigs, but does have to piss a lot, i'd like to say a small 'fuck you'.
the hammersmith crowd were fucking annoying, loads of people who went there to be 'seen' rather than see the band.
we were surrounded by three groups of cunts at one point all chatting.
amazing band though, will try and avoid london next time.
when i saw them in edinburgh last year it was the most immense and jaw droppingly spectacular thing i'd ever seen at a gig before
