Faith No More
More commercial success - but does that mean they got better?
I would argue.... actually I wouldn't argue. Genesis suck.
because it was Phil Collins and he is the worst person in the world.
I can't believe I forgot the Maiden.
added a singer...
people might say DEP, for the patton ep
The Dead Kennedys? j/k
undid that totally with Greg fucking Puciato
Greg's awesome. Check yo'self, foo!
I throw my nomination behind RATM, who got immeasurably great and successful when they dumped Zack.
he is twat awful. He actually ruined the Dillinger Escape Plan. I find Miss Machine unlistenable.
surely they got worse?
if it wasn't for Deserter's Songs
Compare Angel Dust to Introduce Yourself...
Chuck was good, but Patton's voice is one of a kind.
Can we have Deep Purple? and Can?
fleetwood mac while we're at it, huh?
Have we had Maiden yet?
but wasn't Courtney Love involved at some point?
always preferred New Order. People have always shouted me down for it. I don't care. Everything's Gone Green, True Faith, Ceremony, Doubts Even Here, Blue Monday, 1963, better than pretty much all JD.
I clicked on this thread to enter Faith No More, so I had to think of another one...
i'm not sure lee wasn't better than barney. lee invented that type of 'singing'.
wasn't Syd Barrett their original singer? If so then they got better
mike was good
the other guy was a bit crap
pepper is best
stretching it a bit i suppose.
is probably the only memeber who has stayed the full 20 years
was the 'singer' at first, though i wouldn't torture yourself with the first cd of "finally the punk rockers are taking acid" just to prove it...
you don't mean henry rollins...
other black flag singer now, is he...
But yes, I don't mean Pedarast or Cadena, I mean rollins. Don't think he was better, but I think THE BAND were at their best after Rollins joined.
and i thought as much...diasagree but...
their version of louie luie with him is hte shit!
The Haunted got better with a new singer.
...had a different singer very early on, did they not? I know they were a totally different band before Kevin Shields discovered effect pedals and large record label recording budgets.
Yerself Is Steam is by far the best Mercury Rev record, though given See You On The Other Side and Deserters Songs were both pretty unique.
The Stone Roses and The Charlatans both changed their singer, though before either released anything...
SECOND best, after deserters songs. Soundgarden started off with Chris Cornell as their DRUMMER, but again, before anything was released.
Nooooooooooooo. I liked them so much better before
joey belladonna was much better than the first guy
Black Sabbath. In that "Heaven and Hell" was better than "Never Say Die".
I think their new direction is far, far better. They've said they were going to kick the old singe rout if he didn't leave anyway.
Replaced Guitar/ vocalist and got waaaay better!
Have I missed something? Hasn't David always been the singer?! I seem to remember the guitarist singing on a b-side, but that doesn't count! :-p
my mistake, I thought Charles sung on some of the songs.
Belladone is wank. Terrible vocalist.
John Bush is where its at...
(their old singer was a sex criminal)
but yes, bush is the best singer anthrax have had ... its a shame they appear to have kicked him out for a moneyspinning reunion tour
im a moron
dooood, how can you possibly say that the singer of ARMORED SAINT is better than the singer of the band who put forth among the living? belladone was so much better.
proof: they started sucking around state of euphoria (which had its points), but then after he left, they become terrible. so terrible i haven't even heard any of it. but just the thought of the ARMORED SAINT singer taking over was evidence to show that they were in poor shape.
me speak english good
how can you possibly know thats its terrible then ?
Did FNM get better? I kind of liked Chuck. They certainly didn't get any worse, anyway
