how much the cocteau twins were offered to do it a few years ago. before changing their minds and pulling out.
I was on the verge of going just to see them. I would have been SO gutted.
and was really rather annoyed when they pulled out. then to top it all, i got food poisoning and projectile vomited my way through keane.
although that was probably just the reaction to keane.
but i did puke within about 5 yards of a circle of hollywood types. cameron diaz, justin timberlake, nicole richie etc - a couple of whom went "ewwww!" and pointed at me. fuckers.
that suddenly gives me a LOT more respect for Morrissey.
You've got to admire that.
there were some sweaty burritos on offer last year...yum
working showers though, as long as you dont think about how...
I'd pay that to see them play.
I still resent my mother for not giving birth to me about 10 years earlier.
it would blatantly just suck. They all hate each others guts. Johnny Marr's not done anything remotely decent since the Smiths and Morrisey's riding the wave of commercial success again so he won't be arsed.
Get The Message by Electronic was a great song!
about seeing it, rather than dramatically excited. Although Morrissey's playing more and more Smiths stuff, so that'll do for me. When he played How Soon Is Now at Reading last year, I came three times in five minutes.
is actually legally morrisseys, you know.
but it'll cost him £2.8 million pounds. Mwahahahaha.
I'm not sure whether I'd like them to reform or not. I mean, from a purely selfish point of view I'd love to see them live
But then, what if it's shit? Probably better left in the past
Saying that, if Marvin Gaye reformed with his life, then I'd be there in a shot (pun possibly intended)
- rourke and joyce hate the other two and vice versa.
- marr makes horrid music nowadays.
- marr has finally succumbed to the years of people blowing smoke up his arse and has turned into an insufferable twat, and he never really had anything interesting to say anyway ("i like bo diddley", "i like link wray", "DUUUUUURRRRGHH"). now he just pops up to get his photo taken with 'manchester legends' like mani (a fucking vapid cunt if ever there was).
- not sure morrissey is up to singing the faster songs like 'still ill' anymore, hence all his solo ballads.
let's just leave it alone.
i would never want to reform. nostalgic reformations are ALWAYS a disappointment.
Has there ever been a good reformation?
when the band has been gone longer than say...10 years?
anyone here heard of a new swedish all-girl band called Soak the Sin ???
Andy Rourke worked with them on their album which is out next week over here I think
He's in the video to their second (and current) single as well
anyone heard of it?
the track's called 'I said no'
I want to like it but I kind of don't
but then I wan't to not like it but I kind of do
hmm - anyone else got an opinion?
bit like a less-heavy auf der maur. not bad i suppose.
why on earth does he need to be in the video? are they popular over there?
I think he's in the video so that the band's management can say to MTV Sweden 'look - play this! It's got Andy Johnny Morrissey in it' - or something like that...
