Tonight's the Night, closely followed by Rust Never Sleeps..
Rust= Perfectly bookended by two versions of Hey Hey My My. I always change my mind between which one I prefer-the beautiful harmonica part on the first or skull crushing fuzz of the second. Outside the crunchy exterior is the beautiful creamy centre of the album (Pocahontas/Thrasher/Powderfinger). Tonight's the Night is, dark, despairing and powerful. He makes mistakes all over the place and his voice struggles, but its the raw sound of a man clinging on to the edge, and thats what makes it so powerful. Its just an amazing record and one that every rock n roll fan should own IMHO.
