Does anyone know what key '...Dennis' is in?
I want to do it in band and I want to know how I will play it.
it's in D major
change to A in the little solo about 1.20 through with an E chord (hurray for prog nuggets in pop songs)
just play it in whatever key you want.
when bands don't even know what keys and chords are.
musical invention is more important than convention.
Look at Bob Dylan. When he plays live his band doesn't even know what key he's gonna play a song in.
he transposes his songs as he wants? that displays a way more secure grasp of tonality
i dont get why people would ask what key a song is in
i mean, if you want to play it at the same pitch as the band, just play along to the record.
that wrightylew just needed somewhere to start..
yep. So I've read - He must be a nightmare to play with.
when people say they prefer bands not to know chords / keys etc. It's a bit like saying you prefer a filmmaker to not know how to how to use a camera.
On a lighter note, here is the NME's latest description of the Mystery Jets -
"Like Shane MacGowan picking the crumbs out of Merlin's beard on some seriously good speed"
