Why don't you publish Manchester gigs on the Events section?
Theres just not many of them.....
1.Most DIS readers live in the south of England.
2.They don't have time
3.The contributors don't know any listings for the Manc area
4.You could always send them your own listings, and they will gladly put them up for you. Thats what I've done once or twice.
1. I disagree. A lot do live in London, but they shouldn't just cater for them.
2. Don't have time to type a few dates down? What? 30 seconds a day?
3. They should find out.
4. It's not up to me. I don't run the site.
so it cant be THAT hard to put th other dates up.
other sites you can look at to find out what's going on.
but i think its more for the purpose of the "LOOK AT ME AND THE EVENTS IM GOING TO" function thingymabob
Send the dates in, They have loads of gigs to list, and they can't look at the whole of Britain for what gigs are going on.
I'm sure it would help them immensely if you helped them out.
and they haven't...
They've put the event up next day, and emailed me to say they have.
But thats just my experience!
most things that get sent through to the listings email address are listings for london.
if stuff comes through which are west-country listings, I add them a.s.a.p because that's sort of 'my area'
If you send fairly comprehensive details to the listings email address, then they will most likely be added fairly fast.
things that come to my pm inbox i'm rubbish at, as I always lose pms in the pile.
wrightylew, if you want something listed tonight, i am busy wasting time but I could list some gigs with that wasted time if you want.
