anyone know if it is happening this year?
it's on 20th april.
i think they're booking at the moment.
better than last year. The start wasnt exactly brilliant - the godawful Art Brut made me very angry with their sheer lack of talent.
It improved with Secret Machines but the fact I missed the last train and had to sleep for 4 hours outside Euston station in the freezing cold wasnt exactly the icing on the cake.
The line up last year was excellent.
Look at last years. A fair few bands there who went onto have excellent 2005s.
Very much looking forward to seeing this years line up.
Says March 10th 2006 here.
are shit as.
the evening improved with Secret Machines by which time I was on one.
The earlier part of the evening was Art Brut, Maximo Park and Magic Numbers. All these bands I loathe with a passion.
Now see what I mean?!?!?
has been happening for as long as i remember
(go to the latest news page)
I've just got my tickets. I'm such a geeky indie nerd. Mon the 20th of April!
if all the bands are RUBBISH and bamos is the only one going?
putting good stuff on when I'm moving??? Jerks.
I'm not sure whether to get a ticket, is it really any good? It seems like it'll be lots of traipsing around Camden which is never much fun.
like good fun last year. But you know how they talk with forked tongues.
I don't trust them.
We met at 1 in the afternoon, got very drunk and saw four bands (of varying brilliance) and my mate threw chips at Dave Berry off of MTV and we shook Eddie Argos' hand and I met someone who went to my Uni and just HAD FUN. Yeah, some traipsing was involved. But basically you get drunk. Which is a good thing, in my world.
They're doing it again!
I found a camera on the phone, and it had photos of fit women on it. And I hugged the singer off of Ludes. And the singer off of Subways. I love hugging indie pop stars. AND THEN, on the Friday morning, me and my hungover mate made SHELVES in my living room. HUNGOVERSHELFMAKINGFACT.
I wasn't buying it, but now you've mentioned shelving, you've got me.
I fucking love Diy.
How does it work? Do you get entry to any of the venues (depending on how busy they are)? I'm tempted to get a ticket but won't be able to get Thursday AND Friday off.
Amusement Parks On Fire
Then we tried to get into Hot Chip, and I thikn they cancelled? I was too drunk to really care by that point though.
And basically, yeah, what you said. Although the queues can be annoying. They don't stagger the stage times, which can be irritating.
If it was a Friday or Saturday I'd deffo do it. Think I'll give it a miss.
I'll just stay home and build a table.
and I missed COxon, Clor, Longcut, REsearch etc etc.
to try and tempt me?
Because it's working.
Can it be an occasional table?
it can be an occasional table with removable leaves and everything. You bringing your tool belt or do you want to share mine?
a table so I can set up my Subbuteo please. Thanks. While I'm busy drunkenly dancing to indie pop.
drunk also, it's nice.
i discovered that if you dance at Le Tigre shows it is WELL EASY to get girls to talk to you.
talking to girls is ace.
it's one of those 'London things' I've been hearing about for years.
when I was watchin le tigre. I was also dancing. wasn;t talking to any girls though, we were dancing with the chalets (minus the girls) how very ghey.
the 10th of March. That's less than 3 weeks away and I've googled it and found very little.
I hope it's on the 20th of April as I'll be in London then and can go.
I really enjoyed last years. More of the same please!
I love payday.
Zonino! Come party with me, Mrs B and your new best mate Foggy.
Branka's coming too! Is Foggy the dodgy man on the train?!
The subject of the text you sent, that said 'FOGGY'S ON MY TRAIN!!!!!!!'
have any idea how long it took the tickets to sell out last year?
I'm totally skint at the minute and probably won't have the money for one for a couple of weeks.
Anyone heard who might be playing at it yet?
from here http://www.stargreen.com/front
20th April is a press day. although if everything goes through with no problems, then i could sneak away early... :)
when they actually launch the damn thing and announce who is going to play. If last year is any guide the trend will be towards 'bigger' (relatively) bands playing in venues that are normally too small for them, so there will be a lot of interest.
i was so pissed off for missing it last year.. i'm hoping Graham Coxon will play again this year.
i got ma ticket.
it had better be good!!
