is stuck in my head.
It will get really annoying when i start singing in a mockney voice...
my claret from my boujelais
Blur are great...
Just yesterday I was "na na na na na na-na"-ing this very tune.
History will remember Blur as one of rock's very best. They can do (did?) it all and do it all very well.
"Na na na na na na-na...." :-)
I can 'do' Albarn better than you can though :)
Charmless Man is my fave Blur song, love the video too.
But charmless man is one of their lowest points, truly.
that honour goes to Crazy Beat
Blur are a four piece. Fact.
Think Tank is brilliant.
it ain't a Blur album in my book.
except for that song. Coxon ain't coming back. Accept it.
that features Blur's songwriter as well as 3/4s of Blur's musicians (4/4 on one song) isn't a Blur album?
...no distance left to run.
girls and boys
think tank is far better than leisure. leisure is partly responsible for the spawning of kaiser chiefs, who seem 2 have ripped off the worst bits of early blur
along with girls and boys, no distance left to run, tender (*hides*), coffee and TV and the universal
bank holiday is good.
Favourite blur songs? Hmm...
There's No Other Way (extended)
For Tomorrow (Primrose Hill version)
Girls and Boys
This is a Low
Death of a Party
Coffee and TV
Country Sad Ballad Man
Shit there are too many...
Charmless Man has been stuck in my head all day. I literally gasped when i saw this thread. Its so damn catchy! "na na na na na na-na".
i don't really like blur
You have no soul. Someone needs to give you a proper learnin sunshine.
I'm from manchester, it was the law to prefer oasis, then when i got over all of that blur weren't fun anymore.
I like the odd song, but mostly, meh.
.. 'resigned' and 'blue jeans'.
i heard 'the universal' again somewhere the other day and it's beautiful too.
my favourite band ever. and the reason i came to london woohoo
for Blur? You should get them done under the Trades Descriptions Act for portraying it as a happy, sunny paradise.
Rapscalion - I'm from the midlands, thus I like them both equally. I think that's how it works?
i'm not from england.. and yes i had a pretty romantic picture in my mind. but i do live near camden and see graham every now and again in his local coffee shop. that's good enough for me :)
I much prefer modern albarn to modern oasis, and naturally i love coxon...
He's a cheeky genial scamp of a man.
Modern Oasis Is Rubbish.
EH! D'YA GET ME! SEE! YES!
what's the use of this...
love Coxon? Well, are you?
BAN LYLE PLEASE.
ban me please...
He was great. His 2 hour set flew by in a whizz of power chords and fun-ness. Plus I got payed £30 just to sit there and keep an eye on the crowd.
coxon or no, out of time is one of the best things ever by anyone.
really like The Great Escape. There was that whole stupid thing with Country House, but Arnold Same, Stereotypes, Charmless Man, and Yuko & Hiro are up there with the best.
but it was for the best, imagine his guitar all over tihnk tank, it just wouldn't work - he brings the rock/pop bounce. im a huge think tank album, but ashamed to own not one other album by them, well kinda...i really love that, will buy self titled soon methinks. god bless fopp's £5 wall
13 is just lacking his edge.
No it fucking isn't. The only track I'd keep from the last Blur album is the hidden one, frankly.
Beetlebum, now *there's* a tune, FFS!
is ace. as is the majority of think tank.
i think that's 3-2 in favour of think tank isn't it?
i really like it, with a couple of exceptions. Out Of Time is simply breathtaking.
Which side am i on?
not wacky theo?'s?
All We Want
All Your Life
1. This Is A Low
3. End Of A Century
Don't bother arguing with me, you'll be wrong.
*karate chops computer in half*
i saw them touring it three times. the night at the astoria has to rank as one of the best gigs i've ever been too, i had so much fun!
Think Tank is class.
You are wrong and will be assimilated.
Theo is right actually.
IN YOUR FACE, fullerov!
He hates Punk.
His opinions are of no consequence.
because I am clearly right.
I meant Assasinated...
from a man who gets those two confused.
You should either be dead or a part of the Greater Fullerov Construct.
Theo isn't there anymore...
I was being hasty.
Still hate Black Flag though.
What about Grey Flag?
