And where abouts do I go from the underground station?
carry on walking up the road for about 10 minutes and then turn left when you get to Blenheim Gardens. What directions!! lol! Here's a map!
It's a good little venue, the irish fella (may be from Northen Ireland - canne remember) is a really nice chap.
What gig you going to?
down Blenheim Gardens. It's in the middle of a housing estate.
don't fancy getting lost in Brixton again like the first time I went to the Academy. I'm going to Tilly and the Wall next week, and am looking forward to it a lot.
mp3s by them, they sound good. enjoy the gig.
and yes they ARE good, tres gd.
it was great. Took fucking ages to find the place though.
come out of the tube, walk across the road, THEN turn left. otherwise you'll end up somewhere you really don't want to be. keep walking up that road and you should past the Fridge club on your right hand side. and keep walking for abuot 10 mins until you think you've passed the place. Blenheim Gardens is side-road on the right. walk to the end of that road (which isn't very long) and there's the Windmill. boom.
get a 133 or a 333 bus from outside iceland/woolworths, and get off after 3 stops. this cuts out 10/15mins of walking time. cross the road, turn into blenheim gardens which has a co-op funeral parlour on the corner. and it's a coupla mins oop t'road.
also get 159, 59, 45 or any hus whatsoever that goes up Brixton Hill
are brilliant. Just wish it was easier to get to. Taking the bus is definitley recommended, always seems like a long walk from the tube.
is one of my favourite venues in london. they have good bands regularly, a beer garden, the requisite amount of scuzziness and, of course: 2 dogs!
I love the Windmill. Probably one of my favourite pubs in the world. It's not cosmetically the most amazing place in the world but the atmosphere is fantastic.
It's great. I saw Darren Hayman there two weeks ago.
are playing there on thursday
The summer barbeques were amazing. I accidently squirted ketchup on a dog though. It was one of those new fangled bottles that do projectile ketchuping. That was the problem
it probably enjoyed it.
