interviewing them at 7.
ask if they'll have my babies
but i declined coz i thought they would start talking then all of a sudden without reason or need start doing a horrible numetal vocal
ahhh dont be so sceptical hearkbrokenstar! tis good stuff, or good schtuff even. thier new songs sounded fabby at the gig, hinting that the best is yet to come from them.
each to thier own, i like it alot.
what would cars be?
does that make him an Idiotpilot?
why are you so shit?
no really, why are you so shit?
and then do the rest of the interview as you normally would.
when you started the band did you intend to be as shit as you are?
just copy and paste an "ask monpot" thread.
ask themn whether there shoud be an 8th day of the week (to make the week longer and get more productivity from the workforce)
and what they would call this day.
also: ask if theyve ever met ian mackaye, and whether he repeatedly hit them on the head whilst saying "NO. NO. NO."
also try and gauge how their relationship works, re: letting the guitarist sing.
also ask if they like carter usm.
the last question is serious as cancer.
maybe of the throat, given the fred durst vocal.
fanbase by like, i dunno, becoming listenable at somepoint
with each other? Coz that involves shit too
crap and reference Deftones, Radiohead and other good bands?
the 'to buy a gun' press release was a complete smorgasboard
the first part of the ian mackaye question is serious. theyre from DC. ask them what they think of the city's musical heritage, and how it influences them?
also: does the singer just hang out with the guitarist to make himself look even HAWTTer?
not a lot o' love for them on the messageboard it appears, ah well. couple o' good questions from alcxxk though. good contribution restlessboy.
but some of these are genius; Alcxxk i will be asking the first two questions.
what it was like working with Chino Moreno and why wasnt his mix of the last single put on the album instead because the vocal mix is sweet and works.
how well liked they are on this board. this thread aside, ive been laughed at for not liking them. "they're like radiohead meets at the drive in!"
genuinely one of the most hilariously shit, arbitarily wank bands ive ever heard, tho.
you gave Noisettes 10. so yr opinion is about as worthwile as an italian made ferry.
either of the bands in question?
seein idiot pilot tonight. im goin by listening to idiot pilot on record.
until the guy starts screaming over the top. seriously off-putting. i got the album to review months ago and i couldn't actually bring myself to write about it. i want to like them, they have some good moments, but as a whole, they're a bit shit.
ask them if the one who does all the programming, writing, guitar-ing and shouting gets more of the money, 'cos the other guy doesn't actually do much does he?
they're playing in manchester on sunday. i haven't decided whether to go and see them or jeniferever yet. probably the latter, although they're playing here again in a couple of weeks supporting isobelle campbell.
live they are a strange beast. as there are only two of them there are backing tracks set off but the multi-instrumentalist guy (daniel) who then plays guitar or keys and dances in a strange wobbly legged way, whilst micheal sings and jumps around, but what a great voice he has, the screams aren't quite as loud live, though that may have been due to the sound at the gigs i've seen them at. they do well filling the stage, and the black and white movie projections behind them are cool.
If Corp is the best place ever. Because it is.
