'Open season' or 'the decline of british sea power'?
I love both to be honest, but the latter is slightly better.
Most people will say Decline. But Open Season really is better than people make it out to be. It's obviously far less ragged and shouty, but I really like it. (I still prefer The Decline Of... though)
all fanboy indie cliche and say "the eps/singles"? If not, Decline. Some tracks on Open Season (mostly Hamilton's) are great though.
I really don't think 'open season' is boring like some sea power fans say. Just different, and less shouty and loud.
You can't go wrong with 'oh larsen B'. Its fantastic!
I used to say Open Season, but now I'm probably just leaning towards Decline. North Hanging Rock is my favourite BSP song though.
Different but good.
by a country mile.
don't mind open season but can't remember the last time i listened to it.
(and the b-sides of OS and Decline) all have massively massively massively more emotional depth.
In fact, people should pay attention to that side of BSP more. Everyone goes on about how weird all their songs are and miss all the really beautiful bits like "All my greatest hopes were all bound up in ropes, and ceremoniously destroyed" or "When you listen to yourself, does it feel like somebody else."
