number Two in the album charts?
i knew they were getting popular but that surprised me rather.
they are shit.
Jose Gonzalez being number 7.
Seems a load of people have gone out there and bought it after hearing Heartbeats on the Orange advert. Can't think of any other reason why so many people would go and buy an album by such a lesser known artist.
Can only be a good thing though...I think.
but i thought it was less surprising 'cos of the advert and that.
I tend only to listen to adverts, as during sommercial breaks I find something else to do.
Only losers watch adverts.
i've been slagged for saying less than that...
munich's a good song. not exactly original, but chugs along nicely...
he was saying "blood runs through my feet"
lets found a club
at n°1 !
Is the world mad ?
they're marketing campaign though? They've evn bothered putting pictures of their album cover in toilets and supermarkets and things.
Almost entirely due to the album being reduced to £6.99 in a number of places...
you know they are called HARD fi... is this a musical genre? the opposite of LO-FI perchance?
hard fi lo fi fee fi fum...
lord that song "there's a hole in my bucket..." makes me want to rip my hair out. gah.
is a shite play-on-words.
lee scratch perry reference
Now i'm even more annoyed. i <3 Lee Perry.
Quite logical then...
the editors are the musical beige.
Or edam cheese.
The editors are great, but not quite as good as interpol!
Munich is overplayed and there are many better tracks on the album!
UEA in february!
album sales in January are shite
as Browno says, for some reason it's £6.99 in HMV and Virgin, which would tempt previous fence-sitters into a purchase. Ditto the HArd-Fi LP, which is £7.99 in some big stops.
When an old Fatboy Slim album would rocket a couple of hundred places in the album charts every time HMV's sale was on and it was down to £1.99
the Stone Roses album does that every few years or so as well. And 3 Feet High And Rising. I love students and the HMV sale!
Its shocking, because its such a bland album. It has about 4 tracks that make me think, 'That one wasn't awfully boring.'
All Sparks... Camera... Fingers in the Factories... its a shame because if I liked their record, I'd like them live.
got released ages ago.
Everyone got it at different times. EVERYONE.
I'm sick of hearing about it.
about Jose Gonzalez. I really like Heartbeats.
i'm sick of hearing about the kooks. they are shit and amstel pissed them off good and proper on popworld.
cherish the amstel.
I don't give a toss about the Kooks. Throwaway, but bearable fun. But... thanks for telling me.
I keep hearing they got pissed off, but how exactly?

"indie guitar music" in there...i'm hesitant to call it a triumph though.
only 2 acts in there that I would call any good.
Are the only thing even with an atom in the world of good out of that grim fucking lot. And the Strokes are clinging on by a single ragged toenail.
Actually, Eminem has had his moments. I like a good pantomime-villian / pop star.
Veneer is kind of pleasant but far from amazing, i feel.
Perfect for Holiday programmes, and retirement.
