what shall i buy?
they had lots of sonic youth/johnny cash/bright eyes/neil young. if that's "your bag".
i got a couple of sonic youth albums and 'fevers 'N' mirrors' by mr. eyes.
Nice And Nicely Done - lush dream pop harmonies oft compared to pavement but I prefer Beach Boys and all that is holy good about pop that still has daring in it. Very good wordplay on direct to helmet.
I'm sure you'd like it, don't think know if it's out here yet AND if it's more expensive still buy it. Otherwise up your cash quota and get the rough trade counter culture 05 compilation.
Rough Trade isn't out til the 30th. It's the choices of the record shop workers I think not the label.
anyone else have the 7"? its GATEFOLD! and has 3D GLASSES!
Thomas Spinto is a nice guy and he wrote direct to helmet which starts off 'directly to my helmet, directly to my skull' and 'your work is good, your look works great' that's all I need to hear and umm the album - official release for those of us who aren't alcxxk?
have you two seen them live - they're here on saturday to go or not to go?
this isn't 'the spinto band' thread you know!
i recommended on the basis of your west coast leanings sorry maybe you should point out what genres etc you're into and people can recommend you more suitable stuff. Otherwise you just get people recommending albums from bands you don't like or get extreme disappointment from listening to through being too vague.
so im not bored at work cos i left all my stuff at home today. thats why im going for the £5 cos it's just to get me through the day really
is £5 according to their website..a bit of Belle and Seb never killed anyone
i heart harvest but thats all i've got. what else is good. i gather he is alittle bit hit and miss
last week and bought the Neil Young Best Of for a fiver and it's really good.
Viktor Vaughan - Vaudeville Villain
Cabaret Voltaire - Micro-Phonies
and a couple of Husker Du albums were in there for a fiver...
That shop is great.
