The Crdigan Arms
what are they like?
the fenton is great its a pub where students hang downstairs and the venue above. the room is fairly intimate but great. decent sound. it has a john peel tribute on the wall as well with a grammatical mistake :)
vine is in the centre of town on the headrow and whiskas out of forward russia used to promote there i think. it's nae bad. lots of old men drinking.
the cardigan arms is in kirkstall near me :D it's supposed to be reet but i haven't been so i can't comment.
if u want any more detailed answers, post the same thing on leedsmusicforum.co.uk. beware tho!
and it's nice venue, yeah. Nice pub too, I thought. They had this weird Lowenbrau pils in bottles that was 5 or 6% but tasted like water...
I enjoyed the upstairs bit and the sound was good, true. No one can explain that weird dartboard mural thing on the wall behind the stage I found.
Is probably the most underrated venue in Leeds in my opinion. It's a bit like the Fenton in terms of size and is a really nice setting for live music.
It also puts on DIY gigs pretty regularly too, as does the Fenton - though the gigs are premarily DIY there.
