what are people's thoughts on this? They're up for international band, breakthrough and album.
but they ain;t british.
i want them to get recognition etc, just not the Brits, they'll be exposed to an audience of knobbers
then the exact same friends of mine who wanted to go see razorlit instead of the arcade fire at leeds festival this summer will suddenly be totally bumming them and talking about how much they love the album. despite express their dislike for the band after i finally got my way and we went to see them.
this can't happen, and hopefully won't
to the other acts there the Arcade Fire completely rule. It would be nice if they played at the Awards ceremony itself as it would show them blowing everybody else off stage. However, I think that their nominations are a token gesture.
this is my thinking, a clutch at the straws of credibility for the Brits that will hopefully fail spectacularly
it must be their token 'broadsheet' inclusion or something.
James Blunt is going to duet with them for 'Wake Up'
*NB This isn't true
:s is all i can 'say'
how can craig david be nominated for the 'urban act' prize??
breakthrough artist as the pussycat dolls?
put kt tunstall and kate bush in the same 'best woman' category?
Coldplay - Speed Of Sound
Sugababes - Push The Button
James Blunt - You're Beautiful
Shayne Ward - That's My Goal
Tony Christie ft Peter Kaye - (Is This The Way To) Amarillo
Sugababes aside, that list makes me want to vomit
i thought you loved Craaaaaig Daaaaavid?
i never siad i didn't
but i would descirbe him as more 'classics coursework' listening than 'urban'
you sound jut like him, yknow :p
he used to live in a city. thus urban, right?
you seem to been very negative in your posts recently
more urban than Joss Stone innit.
they are very good and probably a lot better than whoever the other nominees are
but then again the brits do suck
