not many things better in life really.
plus you look really gangsta when you play one.
I actually don't think I've laughed this much for a while. And this is the internet.
dance punk would be nothing without them.
!!!, The Rapture, Sleater Kinney all play the cowbell acely.
for a top40 band, could i just point out how ace i am?
for a class assembly when i was 6
could i just point out how you pale in comparison
had an electronic one once.
WHTA A SELLOUT!1
cowbell as additional percussion = great
cowbell instead of hi-hat (80s rock) = not good
could i point out that the cowbell is NEVER to be used as a snare substitute (beats 2 and 4) but ska off beats are acceptable (like replacing/complimenting hat in disco beats). the most acceptable common beat is a simple 1234 tap on every beat. for slightly more advanced use, please refer to the raptures House of Jealous Lovers, in which it acts of something of a ride substitute.
Actually, I can't stand the sound of the cowbell, except for the cowbell sound on 80s drum machines (which are OK) and when the drummer from Kaito plays them.
in one of our songs. We were prevented because of the uncontrollable laughter which resulted everytime the drummer hit it.
have some ace cowbell. They have 5 mics on it apparently.
Down with prince
ooh if only i was 20 years younger
I’ve been hearing the term ‘more cowbell’ bounded around for ages now, but at the weekend I was watching my housemates copy of ‘Well Ferrell’s Best of Saturday Night Live’ and there was a scene with Christopher Walken & some actors pretending to be The Blue Oyster Cult. Walken was playing Bruce Dickinson (engineer days), and they were recording ‘Don’t fear the reaper’, Walken kept insisting on ‘More Cowbell!’ on the track. ‘I have a virus and the only sure is cowbell!’.
In conclusion, is this where ‘more cowbell came from’?
Little sister + cowbell = swesome
i heard it from.
or rather a reference to that - a bootleg o f fear the reaper with extra cowbell and a sample of cw...
Thanks, that's what I thought.

Little sister isn't a cowbell. It's a jam block...
Sorry for being anal.
