How reliable is this?
you can't trust the shipping times but if you pick a reliable (well rated) seller it should be fine.
I use it all the time, I have found it reliable and really cheap.
rarely have a problem with it, as long as youre not in a hurry!
It's the greatest thing ever. No jokes. It's also responsible for my current lack of student loan. Oh well. I recommend Caiman - everything comes factory sealed and they're pretty consistent with delivery - usually 7 or 8 days.
and you can get about 6 cds for £40, which is good. supah good.
its good for books and dvds too, its the only place on the interweb i buy from anymore.
although they took longer delivering something than they were meant to, but it was the Clap Your Hands album which is still failry 'rare' so I forgave them.
Cheap as overpriced chips as well.
There we go, I have placed my order using caimen and some other one that looked pretty good.
Marketplace rocks. It's a reasonably recent discovery of mine (a few months or so), but has provided some ace purchases. One of them couldn't locate the Radio Dept EP I ordered though :-(
I was very reliable. I guess it just depends on the individual seller innit.
can't believe it hasn't been released in the UK yet.
yay cheap as fuck, but it can be a gamble if its not a reputed seller. worst i've ever had is a broken case and i've bought about 20ish cds there this year. cest magnifique
I love Caiman so much, the are my favourite people in the entire world. Why the hell would you ever buy an album from proper Amazon again?
hmm. I would also have said, yes, they are good - I have never had a problem until I ordered one CD, a Pelt Cd which I suppose is admittedly difficult to get but they could have told me this when I ordered instead of promising I'd get it 7-21 days later. Three months on I'm still trying to make sense of the standard responses from the email queries I send to their Cust Services dept, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt cos I've purchased so much from them without problem and I can't seem to get it anywhere else. A bit of honesty, I suppose is all that would help as well as better customer service; strange to say of a US company maybe. They are damned cheap when they get it right though. I feel a little guilty buying from them instead of more expensive, good record shops in the UK.
I run a little earning side project listing where I list rare, deleted singles on Amazon, and when they sell quickly nipping over to ebay and buying the item, then I tell the ebay seller that 'my' address is the one I've been giveen from the person who bought the item off me on Amazon so I never actually touch the CD or 7 inch. I just scoop off the profit which has sometimes been up to 15 pounds.
