what in you opinion rates as the best couple of lo-fi albums?
im all about moldy peaches and kimya dawsons solo albums
'it was hot...' and 'the glow pt. 2'
haven't listened to them in ages, thanks for reminding me.
if purely for making the sound of tin cans being crushed in a cement mixer sound like it was produced by Phil Spector (i.e. i can't really think of many lower-fi albums).
and ooh ooh 'Peanut Butter + Jelly Live At The Ginger Minge' by Coachwhips. Woohah!
The sound of birds chirping in the background... tape hiss... howling feedback and the click of the tape being stopped on his 4 track. Lou Barlow is a Lo-fi god
Can I name three? Mid-90's triplet from Guided by Voices: Bee Thousand, Alien Lanes and Under the Bushes, Under the Stars.
(Remove last to get couple.)
Very lo-fi and they make me feel pretty inside!

Shame he went shit.
I was about to shift into epic prose about how amazing Eric's Trip are but it looks like someone's beat me to it. Check them out folks. Love Tara and Forever Again are both fantastic, fantastic albums.
devendra banhart album. he just set up microphones in a country house and recorded onto a tape recorder. i think..
Urusei Yatsura - We Are...
Projekt A-Ko play AC30 recently? i would have loved to see that.
