I find this so depressing. Bono represnts precisely no one. He's just providing a fig leaf for politicians who can appear to be caring on issues like Africa by humouring the big egotist. Having Bono address your party confernce is the political equivilant of putting a penny in a charity box and hoping people think it's a quid.
