What albums should i get? The top 50 thread's made me realise my collection aint all that...
dEUS - In A Bar Under The Sea
Elbow - Leaders of the Free World
Clinic - Walking With Thee
Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space
Suede - Dog Man Star
Idlewild - 100 Broken Windows or Hope is Important
to have rated Sigur Ros so go and get Agaetis Byrjun or Takk immediately.
Git Elbow and Suede too, I'm looking for things unlike what i already listen to to be honest.
Might well get spiritualized, takk and deus though
Reindeer Section - Son of an Evil Reindeer
Rilo Kiley - More Adventurous
BC Camplight - Hide, Run Away
Stars -Set Yourself on Fire
Aberfeldy - Young Forever
the Rapture - Echoes
Erin Mckeown - Grand
Love - Forever Changes *quality stuff*
and a Ride one and The Radio Dept.
The new My Morning Jacket album is really rather good too.
Either Dubnobasswithmyheadman, Second Toughest in the Infants or Beaucoup Fish.
Bearsuit - cat spectacular
Kaito - Band red
PJ Harvey - Dry
Am I that incidental that you've never noticed I'm a Bearsuit obsessive?!
What's Kaito like though?
the wrens - the meadowlands
richard hawley - coles corner
the new pornographers - twin cinema
mirah - c'mon miracle
iron & wine and calexico - in the reins
You would like
The Lemonheads: It's a Shame About Ray.
also Judee Sill. People should love her more.
fever to tell- yeah yeah yeahs i am lovvingg itt
and i agree with 100 broken windows- idlewild
with any Bearsuit / Kaito comparisons, but Kaito are indeed very good.
Should i get?
Galaxie 500: Today
Deus: In a Bar Under The Sea
Spiritualized: Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space
All for £27.90.
Which aint bad i don't think...
Buy The Radio Dept. That album is so, so underrated
Also, for something 'electronic', Everything Ecstatic by Four Tet gets better and better everytime I hear it
get "Rounds" instead
Try Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies
- if you think you can handle it!
i am also contractually obliged to recommend the new 65daysofstatic album(One Time For All Time)
Go! Buy! Be Complete!
As brilliant as Rounds is, I think that for somebody that has never heard the music before, Everything Ecstatic is more accessible. Plus it's fucking ace too
Incidentally, how did EE do in reviews? I don't think I've ever read one
Going to see Explosions in The Sky the other day, and then didn't go because i thought I was somewhere else. Anyway, the point is that i didn't realise Four Tet were the headliners.
Really wish I'd gone.
I ain't buying anymore cds for at least a week now...
at the Hammersmith Palais, then i was there and it was a BRILLIANT show.
Too bad you missed it, but never mind!
(you still need to buy more, you've not spent £50!!!)
But I didn't actually have fifty pounds to spend. I was bored and now i'm thirty quid out of pocket.
I missed the Sheffield gig, a mate went and he concurrs with your view...
