Anyone have a spare ticket for this? :-(
don't you get tickets to the Four Tet show the day before if their headliner is sold out? I think there are tickets still available for that one.
he will be missing out on Adem and Lazarus if he goes to the 4tet show. Cant be doing missing them!
If my girlfriend suddenly drops dead on me then roast - the ticket is yours.
Is anyone willing to swap their ticket for EITS @ the Garage on Friday for my ticket to FourTet/EITS @ the Palais tomorrow?
Both gigs are sold out. FourTet/EITS ticket was £18; EITS was £10 - I'm happy to take the loss..
I was at the Brighton gig on Monday. Four Tet was very good, and Explosions fucking slayed.
Sorry I can't help you out roast, and for selfishly jacking your thread.
worries - its so annoying seeing as I knew when they went on sale but was out of pocket at the time (still am really but desperate times etc) - my sis has kindly offered me her ticket for Four Tet tomorrow so will see them one way or another. Just wish it was the headliner. Ho hum.
alan McGee's new clubnight, Let's all go to rehab:
make of that what you will, though you should REALLY go to the Barfly instead where Envelopes and Vincent Vincent & the Villians are playing for just a fiver, like I'm doing.
In other news, it looks like I have a ticket for the Garage - SCORE!
you get that then?
Tickets have just come available for this gig again at seetickets.com.
And I got almost no sleep last night after the Four Tet gig thinking tonight was gonna be a quiet one... but as A.W.K. sings, "it's time to party".
who is going to this then? i'll be there - propping up the bar most likely as im a lazy cunt.
And I'll give you a free DiS badge.
Ok - How long was their set? An hour? An hour ten tops? Bit disappointed by that and the lack of an encore.
Still, what they did play was astounding. Memorial has never sounded so awesome.
Perhaps some of the members of the audience could've woken up for the set. I felt surrounded by corpses at times.
Adem was ace too. The 2 newies sounded really good.
EITS never encore and they played for a perfect length of time.
Stated with much conviction, but untrue.
I have in front of me a recording of a gig in Amsterdam from 2001, where EITS return to the stage to play another two songs.
I got the impression last night that the venue wasn't too keen on an encore as they turned the music and lights on almost as soon as they left the stage. Wasn't there a club night on afterwards?
seen them 5 times now and I've never seen them do an encore and I'm very glad for that.
Last night was fantastic, so glad I went to both London gigs as setlists were completely different (only 1 song played on both nights) - certain members of the crowd wouldn't shut up but that's London on a Friday night for you.
Adem were indeed on great form, possibly the best time I've seen them.
I'm still disappointed the sound was so shit at the Palais. Take a lesson from the Garage, muhfukkas.
disappointed they didn't play First Breath After Coma at the Garage, but still awesome nonetheless.
Adem was very impressive also.
going to have to start making this more challenging and posting in obscure threads!
Having seen EITS times before I can confirm that they DO sometimes peform an encore.
Their sets have also been longer with an extra 2/3 songs incorporated.
Now they were "incredible" gigs. The one on Friday was "astounding". These 2 ratings are completely different my friends.
