sainty [Edit] [Delete] 28 replies 22:03, 7 October '05
OK, I know some of you (well, a lot of you!) think they are sad. They are actually my fave band EVER! Anyone going to see them in Newcastle this month? I saw them at a small gig earlier in the year and they are such great guys. 'Specially Gale (yum!!!!!)

I saw them a couple of years ago (2002). they were so bland and boring, it was amazing. Indeed, someone did vomit during their set*

*this may have been due to intoxication, more then their music...

Bland and boring? Have you had your ears syringed lately?

        erm...no :)

naaha, I just didn't like them.. they did that '72'song.... man! i was bored

        • Re: Turin Brakes

that '72' song isn't boring. It is cringe inducing. The rest of that album was pretty average.

        • Re: Turin Brakes

I saw them before their first album was released. They were really good.
But the last 2 albums have been big disappointments...

Their latest album has got to be the most uplifting ever. Everytime I listen to Come and Go I just smile because it makes me so happy. I guess everyone here is just depressed and suicidal? Poor you all!!

But it was years ago !

And Turin Brakes last album really depressed me because it was so boring...

Their first album was so damn good. I dunno what happened but they're awful and bland now. Makes me sad, because they had real potential.

'scuse me, but I reckon they have just got better! You need your ears syryinging too!!
      sainty @OceanStorm | 7 Oct '05, 23:04 | X
      • Re: Turin Brakes

I wouldn't trust you to syring them though...

      • Re: Turin Brakes

stop telling people to get their ears "syryinging", it's rude and you have boring taste, like urine brakes, and are probably a cunt.

        what's "black shit"? I don't understand.

        • Re: Turin Brakes

I have to say I did quite like their last album, the one before was indeed dull.
First album was though really really good and they were amazing live. I saw them about before they released anything and was blown away.Plus when I had met them then they were so incredibly nice guys that even though they never made an album nearly as good as the optimist,I could never say a bad word for them.

        • Re: Turin Brakes

I'm rude? How dare you use the C word at me. I'd rather be boring than an obnoxious creep like you who clearly only knows how to use obscene language to upset people and put them down. Shame on you.

          • Re: Turin Brakes

err, to be honest I've just taken a dislike to you because you've made a thread about a band, but then can't understand when anyone gives an opinion different to your own, it's just annoying. I'm sorry if swearing offends you, it shouldn't though. and you still haven't explained what black shit is? I'm interested because I genuinely don't know what you mean.

            • Re: Turin Brakes

I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I'm sorry if I have strong views and I stick up for what I believe in. And why shouldn't your swearing offend me? You have no right to tell me what I should think. I'm not explaining what 'black shit' is because I can't be arsed with you anymore.

"I'm not explaining what 'black shit' is because I can't be arsed with you anymore."

more likely because it's narrow minded or something and you feel stupid about saying it now.

you've missed my point but ho hum... just stop telling people they're stupid or deaf if they don't like the same music as you, like in that editors thread and here.

                • Re: Turin Brakes

                  Indeed !
I was really offended by that Editors thread !
I nearly killed myself after that...( or not ! )
I should know by now to never say anything about Editors...

even if the Brakes mightn't be upto much, Fionn Regan is supporting and he is immensely good.

Turin Brakes really are shit. They are wot defines bland. Pain Killer was their only good song. everything else i've heard just makes me want to throttle some life into them.
