Best moment: squelchy bass breakdown in Smokin' around 4:20
Best lyric: "you and I, united by itemised bills... you and I are idly..gathering moss"
I don't think Guerilla is even a contender for their best album (that would be either Radiator or Rings Around the World), but that song is incredible.
there used to be an amazing vid of them doing Some Things Come From Nothing at Glastonbury in the late 90s.
I'm with 1982 about the best albums though

Best lyric - It's so cold in Alaska
the version of Coney Island Baby is just incredible
Best Track: 'Vanishing Act'.
Someone else who's heard The Raven.
That track's devastating.
Paul McLoone played it to close his radio show in tribute to Lou and I didn't move a muscle for the whole of the song. Can't believe I hadn't heard it 'til then.
Was going to listen to it now but it's too much.
Album: It's a toss-up between Secret Name, Things We Lost... and Trust. I'd pick Trust, I think.

"you won't find anything more ridiculous than this new profile razor unit, made with the highest British attention… to the wrong detail"
Best album: Hex Enduction Hour
Best Song: Wings
Underrated Song: Fantastic Life
Best Moment: the start of The Classical
Best lyric: impossible to choose, but probably something from English Scheme
O'er grassy dale, and lowland scene
Come see, come hear, the English Scheme
The lower-class, want brass, bad chests, scrounge fags
The clever ones tend to emigrate
Like your psychotic big brother, who left home
For jobs in Holland, Munich, Rome
He's thick but he struck it rich, switch
The commune crap, camp bop, middle-class, flip-flop
Guess that's why they end up in bands
He's the green piece in us all
He's the creep-creep in us all
Condescends to black men
Very nice to them
They talk of Chile while driving through Haslingden
You got sixty hour weeks, and stone stone toilet back-gardens
Peter Cook's jokes, bad dope, check shirts, lousy groups
Point their fingers at America
Down pokey quaint streets in Cambridge
Cycles our distant spastic heritage
Its a gay red, roundhead, army career, grim head
If we was smart we'd emigrate

sing: I will swallow your sadness and eat your cold clay
just to lift your long face

your precious longface

Best lyric: pretty much all of OK Computer, before he went lyrically oblique. I'll settle for "Sing us a song.. a song to keep us warm.. there's such a chill..such a chill". It's the way he sings it.
I wish they'd released the National Anthem as a single. Would have gone to no.1 and been the coolest no.1 ever.

Best moment: The first and last few seconds of Twenty Four Hours
Best lyric: "I never realised all the lengths I'd have to go, all the darkest corners of a sense I didn't know" or "Played by the gate at the foot of the garden, my view stretches out from the fence to the wall, no words could explain, no actions determine, just watching the trees and the leaves as they fall."
One of those bands where some of these categories could have a thousand different answers, dependent on mood and time of day. I defy anybody to pick a single "Best moment" from the Cariacs back catalogue :D
Best album: Sing to God
Best song: R.E.S.
Underrated song: Gibber and Twitch
Best moment: Today, it's the insanely melodic but erratic melody and chord pattern towards the end of Eat It Up Worms Hero when Tim sings "And all the beauty tells him he is worms hero. He is love and hatred..." It somehow manages to be utterly confusing and euphoric at the same time. Genuine tingles when I hear that. Beautiful.
Best lyric: "Put your hands on the holy bible and scream-wank"
