...recent interview. He was diplomatic but essentially said they didn't get along.
first impressions - better than "codes & keys" not quite as good as "transatlanticism" or "the photo album"
i really want a mega sad bastard post-divorce record.
it's not a particularly amazing album, nor their best but it sure is lovely and very romantic in a bitter sweet way
first half is definitely stronger, kinda tails off a wee bit after "you have haunted me all my life"

Which is a lot better than I was expecting.
and it is certainly growing on me after initial disappointment. There are some serious lyrical lows: 'Little Wanderer' and 'Everything is a Ceiling' in particular, but plenty of great moments also.... not sure exactly sure what Ben is getting at in 'Binary Sea' - it's like a rewrite of TransAtlanticism with lines about photo messaging (the second song with a line about cameraphones interestingly...) Overall, I wish DCFC had written more jagged songs that capture their live show, but I'll settle for this
