Love it a bit more with every listen.
Dangerously distracting to play in the car, though, I've found.
Hadn't heard of them/her until I saw them/her support savages during Drill Festival and I've been in love ever since.
She took her time to follow up her debut but it's been time well spent.
The first album was interesting but this one's miles better - rich, powerful, punchy. At times it sounds a bit like a truly great Factory record from about 1982 that you somehow missed first time round, but that's ok with me (I dream of finding a record like that).
Looking forward to listening to this on Monday!
What the fuck? Speechless...
Had it pretty much on repeat all week. Love that atonal guitar on Hinterland.
I loved the first album and it has been a long wait for this. The stuff she did with Jah Wobble was good as well.
It's ace isn't it. Funky as fuck. Portishead meet A Certain Ratio.
As such, it has proven an excellent soundtrack for Springtime driving...
