not worth 3 threads tho.....
Psapp is just for comedy value. Benjamin Clementine is a sixth form level singer songwriter.
Atomic Bomb! and Lonnie Holley and Sunn O))) will be great. I like Hypnotic Brass Ensemble but it seems a bit 'big' for them.
Still listen to some of their albums a bit.
as well as all of PG's tips (see what I did there) I'd also say Matthew Herbert should be worth watching
Has he played any dates since the Songs of David Byrne and Brian Eno Tour?
That was fucking incredible. One of the best I've ever seen.
Given they both put on spectacular performances, I wouldn't be surprised if it surpassed the source material.
i saw byrne & st vincent at the concert, and what an absolutely amazing gig it was, probably in my top 5 gigs ever.
So much so that when I saw St. Vincent on her own I was disappointed.
I'm remembering when they played 'This Must Be The Place' and the whole place erupted. People were crying with happiness around me, even my cynical mates were a bit weepy.
Just remembering that and seeing the Knife right afterwards has made me nostalgic now.
i had seen st vincent about 4 times on her own before and was always blown away.
saw her after seeing the pair of them together and while i still very much enjoyed it, it felt somewhat flat by comparison.
Dave seems to be on in this bit:
Young Jean Lee's We're Gonna Die
performed by Future Wife with David Byrne
Thursday 27 - Sunday 30 August
some swift research hints that this is like a life-affirming play / thing.
Is also doing the Atomic Bomb show
how maybe Dirty Projectors is now defunct? PM me
it's his classical music
phew. thanks alx
they might all come back together after they've had a little cry about their solo projects for a while
Nat's always doing solo stuff. Dunno what the others are up to...
