The Shacklewell Arms gig last night confirmed in my mind that 2015 could be their year - anyone else there?
but they're always cracking live. Got a ticket to the Bristol and York shows in April, probably will end up going to Liverpool too.
they've been one of the best touring bands on the british circuit for about a decade. if it hasn't happened for them yet it won't now.
"Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters is the debut studio album by Scottish indie rock band The Twilight Sad, released by Fat Cat Records on 3 April 2007 in the US, and 7 May 2007 in the UK."
they've had more exposure on "mainstream" press/radio (lauren laverne 6 music session yesterday for example), getting played on places like xfm
i still think they'd need a sync in an advert/shite tv show to really properly blow up sadly
Not sure if it was their best decision to do the UK tour about 5 months after the album was released.
Fill in a form to apply for tickets to the show, as i was on their mailing list.
I thought that the crowd were pretty quiet.
For a 'fan club' show, everyone was pretty subdued.
I had a spare ticket which I was offering on twitter and no-one was interested, even after the band retweeted me.
(TS were ace though, and endearingly humble)
and was gutted that I hadn't heard about the show at the Shacklewell - only noticed your tweet when I'd already got home or I'd have definitely taken it off your hands!
In hindsight I should have mentioned it on here. It was all a bit last minute.
Anyone doing any of the UK dates next week ?
... apparently the heaving throngs of Wakefield are where it's at whilst Manchester is too quiet a town for one of their gigs :(
You'd assume a Manchester and/or Leeds gig later in the year.
Scala has sold out - I'm doing that whilst in Ldn on a work trip.
their gig at park del cituadella is the best I've seen them by far, and I've seen them a LOT.
