They haven't lied enough yet about how brilliantly the ticket sales are going.
when everyone has paid for their flights.
that last year's was really good. I had tickets to go but owing to a passport office fuck up I couldn't go :(
even when ATP's elsewhere have been cancelled. Also interestingly it looks like the early bird and super early bird tickets have already sold out.
I just wasn't expecting them to sell many tickets in advance tbh.
billions of its loans hosts a festival by the company that does the same thing in similar smaller twee indie way. A marriage made in heaven. Nothing can possibly go wrong.
presuming it goes ahead this would be the third festival ATP have run in Iceland
is a bit off colour really.
a load of privately owned banks defaulted on deposits.
what got deleted?
Given the shameful way ATP treat their customers, I hope not.
all the "litany of failure" stuff that appeared on the ATP Wikipedia entry has been edited out. Definitely not done by an employee I'm sure..
B&S announced a fairly hefty UK tour towards the end of last year.
where they called them Icage in the subject header
Shame. Would definitely go to this if someone was able to put it on in the UK. Maybe in a Pontins, or failing that a conference centre with good hand-dryers.
and it is a beautiful country*
*I went last year and got a bit obsessed
followed by a second 'by public demand' of a gig if ever there was one.
as at least I'd have the fallback of a great holiday if/when big lad barry cancelled it.
haven't heard of them in years
perhaps it's just me but this actually seems like one of the strongest summer festival line-ups.
unlikely to be ATPs fault if so (for once)
they're on ATP label, i take it? makes it all the more weird that they're (or half of them) being really vague about why they can't play.
its probably less likely they've dropped out to a payment issue.
yes, its Benjamin Power from fuck buttons. this side project are on sacred bones records. Rest of their tour appears to be going ahead
And it seems Baz and the usual crew aren't that involved in running it.
Therefore, it seems this has a good chance of actually happening.
but i think that changed
"Unfortunately the terms of the agreement with the festival have not been honoured and the band has been left with no other option than to pull out of the line-up."
Changes have taken place for a company you're watching
Credit Risk Change
20/05/2016 - Credit limit change
20/05/2016 - Risk score change
no idea what it all means but i liked:
Cash at bank and in hand - £16
fabio frizzi pulled out
assuiming fydb is, too
Name are just slow
they got Coco Rosie in as replacements for Mum, who probably cost more
Bands, Fans, Promoters - give it up!
It is with deep sadness we are announcing that ATP Festivals and live promotions are closing down. After months of speculation, our funding for Iceland has been pulled and we are no longer able to continue so will be closing down the entire live side of ATP festivals and live promotions with immediate effect and going into administration.
ATP Iceland festival is no longer happening, but all our other UK shows will have new promoters appointed and tickets transferred (all purchased tickets remain valid with the new promoter). We will post details of the administrators and what to do for festival ticket refunds over the next week.
We are very sorry we could not make this work and have tried to survive throughout all our recent losses but we are no longer able to trade and have to accept we cannot go on.
Thank you to all our loyal customers who have supported us and incredible artists who have performed or curated for us over the years and made ATP so special while it lasted.

they can't even go into administration without doing something weird! how will this work? just an excuse not to refund stuff, bullshit
